I heard on our TV news that Kate has remained in Windsor, because it was the first day of the children's school and she needed to be there when they get home. With this very sad news about their great grandmother breaking all over the place.

They are saying on the news that there are two things going on at the moment.

The family travelling to be with the queen.
Whitehall preparing for constitutional matters relating to the queen. These constitutional matters are called Operation London Bridge, with a code phrase of London Bridge is Down.
