Is there any way to hide specific threads? I get really triggered reading the titles of crimes against children, it hurts my heart. I would like to find a way to keep them from showing up in my new post feed.
Thanks in advance!

Ditto for animal abuse. I'd really love a way to do this!

That is a great question. Let me check with our IT people.
A quick reminder. We are upgrading our server this Friday, Valentine's Day.
If you try to log in but can't, please don't worry. Just keep trying.
Thank you,

Tricia

The option to hide threads is only available through a software add-on. For technical reasons, we do not use add-ons at Websleuths.

Ah, too bad. Sometimes a thread has such a graphic title that I wish I could stop seeing it. Alas...

I appreciate you for checking into that.

It’s a bit tedious, but I’m able to prevent the thread from showing up in my New Post feed if I choose Crimes Against Children from the Forums list then select Mark as Read. I have to do it prior to viewing the New Post feed each time but it’s worth the few extra seconds it takes.

Edited to add - I wish I weren’t so sensitive, it must be the empath in me. Plus I have a huge soft spot for kids.

Can someone direct me to the appropriate forum to talk about missing persons investigations in general, rather than about a specific missing person? I'm interested to discuss what people think about how investigations are handled, how they could better, what has changed over the years, maybe compare and contrast different geographies, that sort of thing. TIA
