LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Actor Randy Quaid and his wife Evi were arrested on Thursday following a complaint that they had not paid a hotel bill of more than $10,000, according to U.S. authorities.

I think Evi may have a few screws loose. She resisted LE so badly yesterday they threw her onto the hood of a car. Today she's accusing TX LE of concocting a plot against her and her husband. All TX LE did was make an arrest based on a warrant issued out of Ca. Then proceeds to back into a motorcycle as she was leaving.

We're told the Quaids still owe another $5,000. And get this -- we're told Evi called the Ranch and said she and Randy would only pay the balance if they call off the dogs -- i.e., they wouldn't press charges.

Their hotel bills were from hotels and resorts in California. I think the one they were arrested about was San Ysidro Ranch -- it's a resort/spa. They were picked up on a warrant.

Quaid, 58, and his wife were arrested Thursday in Marfa, Texas, and accused of leaving a California hotel without paying the $10,000 tab. The older brother of actor Dennis Quaid and his wife, Evi, were taken in to custody and later released after posting $20,000 bail each.
