I agree.I was looking for the right word,and it didn't come to me at the time...now I recall it..I think she was having a flashback of the murder.Ames said:Personally, I think that her saying "strangled" instead of "choked"....makes the possiblity that she was thinking about what JB went through, even more so....and out of guilt, was feeling what her six year old daughter felt the night she was killed. As always...thats only my opinion...
She may have even blocked it out for a time,but for some reason,something triggered the memories,and like she said.. 'the fierce reality of it all came crashing down'.
Sounds like a very sudden,traumatic memory hit her all at once,and it was overwhelming.
