Hello WS :cool2:
The idea that Lee had something to do with the disposal of Caylee or somehow knew more than what he claimed to know before the 15th, when he was speaking to Casey while waiting for LE: has been one that keeps on nagging at me but I can't get myself to believe it...
When you read Cindy's MySpace entry for July 3rd, it could seem like Cindy already knew Caylee was gone. "Angel from above"..."My Caylee is missing"..."who is keeping her from harm?" But, because Cindy called 911 and acted like she really expected Casey to "bring her to Caylee": I can't totally believe that either.
But: I understand why people do think those things because I can go there, sometimes it really seems like Cindy, George and Lee might have had something more to do with Caylee's death and disposal than after the fact.
Besides the "high-five" we have LE saying something to Lee to the effect of, "you know what you did, or Lee knows what he did." All of their behaviors were/are weird and imo inappropriate and I think it all stems from how phony and shallow they all are: Cindy, George, Lee and Casey.
"Is this like before" and "What have you done?" and "Casey is a sociopath" and "Casey has issues" and Cindy acting like Caylee's mom and wanting custody because Casey was a bad mother...
All this is beginning to add up for me like this: they knew Casey was capable of this, this family knew that Casey had done something awful to Caylee. But, they are all shallow and selfish so there was no one to protect Caylee from "harm" as Cindy wrote in her MySpace entry.
Jesse was not really so surprised that Caylee had died while in Casey's care(he just didn't think it was murder) and gave several(horrible)scenarios involving how Caylee might have died. He even mentioned Caylee eating the dogs food and choking on it...how often does a baby have to go after the dog's food on the floor before you put it away when the dogs are done eating? :snooty: Jesse talked about Caylee putting rocks in her mouth and maybe choking, about Casey not being attentive and how Caylee might have gotten into the pool and drown.
SP, Cindy's mother said that Casey "hated Cindy more than she loved Caylee." Cindy told her mother that she was getting professional advice regarding custody of Caylee and had been advised to "kick them out" but Cindy couldn't because of Caylee, she said.
Cindy and George could not have really cared one iota where Caylee was when she was not with them. They never once checked to see who this "nanny" was that Caylee was staying with, they never asked Caylee about it. George knew Casey did not have a job. He knew she could not be paying for a nanny, he knew she was not really going to work when she said she was(for years). In Cindy's "memorial speech" she mentions the video's Caylee would watch and said Caylee would watch her favorites "two or three times" a day! That's a lot of hours for a child to be sitting in front of the television, imo, with each movie being over an hour long.
This family supports each other in their insanity. They knew what a bad mother Casey was but they could not face Casey and break into her reality, because they don't want to be questioned about their own. That dynamic played out in the jail house tapes. Each one, George Cindy and Casey stayed right within the confines of the personalities they have sculpted for themselves within their family. They play along with the ego masks each one has created for themselves. Lee thinks he is some kind of interesting, intellectual hot guy and Casey is the female equivalent. Casey showed contempt for those who really cared about her and Caylee such as Jesse, Kio and Christina and the boy who came to visit her in jail. The contempt on her face and in her voice for the boy who came to visit shows what Casey thinks of those that are "beneath her."
I think they are ego maniacs. I think the high five is just another example of that fact. Any chance to think they are better or smarter than others. This family feels they are something to be envied or special to because of their looks. I feel silly writing that, but I think it is true.
Lee's confusing behavior looks like this to me: he is a huge narcissist. His speaking or not speaking regarding this case has been as motivated toward what is best for him as it has been for Cindy, Casey and George. They are all the same, they are united in having some of the biggest egos I have ever encountered. All of them love being the center of attention. And Caylee's death has given them the attention for their "specialness" they have always thought they had/should have anyway.
Cindy stated as much during her speech at the memorial and in several interviews: that Caylee's death would bring "things"/ hope, saving other children, etc. The idea that they use the death of Caylee(and her short life)as some kind of boost in their lives, as some kind of vehicle taking them to a greater destiny: makes me ill. Other people who go through this kind of nightmare, speak of coming out on the other side after going through hell: and you are happy they found some kind of peace and applaud them when they have the strength to help others after all they have been through. But not the Anthonys. They skipped right over the "hell" part and wanted to jump into the "helping others" part. The problem is, they do nothing that does help others, they are still just helping themselves.
During the high five the reason it seemed neither Lee nor Casey must have been thinking about Caylee to behave in such a manner is, because they weren't. None one in that family was thinking of Caylee before she died and they certainly have not been thinking of her since her death, except what her death can do for them.
