I think another powerful argument for the defense is how the absolutely-this-is-the-truth theories of who was the culprit has...mutated...over the years. And the theory of the crime has changed a lot too. It was Dina, it was Dina...then it wasn’t, It was Nina, it was Nina, then it wasn’t.

Oh how sure you all were. How it all fit together!

But then....Apologies preferred...now it’s a sex crime and there’s only one guy left to create a story around.

I know that’s had an influence on me. All the now discarded certainty and righteous indignation.

Even Greer admits Bremner “exaggerated.” Then the spectacle of the sweeps autopsy which I found as demeaning to RZ as laying exposed in the courtyard. The refusal to admit at all...that her life was t fabulous and Jonah didn’t adore her...and she was so religious.

Anyway, I hope both families are at least satisfied that they got their day in court. They both had excellent representation. The judge seems very fair.

Our legal system is working well for both sides.

He didn't remove all trace evidence of himself. He didn't leave any trace evidence of himself the next morning either.

It's rather demeaning to suggest the evidence for murder has anything to do with emotion.

I believe it was suicide. The evidence for suicide has everything to do with emotion.

I also find it interesting that she had her period. Hormones during one&#8217;s period can create havoc with a woman&#8217;s emotions.

I think RZ has just checked out of this world at that point. She didn&#8217;t care where blood dropped, whether being naked would shame her family, whether Adam needed her to run chores. She was just DONE. And she mockingly pointed out with her painted message...JS couldn&#8217;t &#8220;save&#8221;her to keep around in this miserable life till he discarded her.

The setup for this &#8220;suicide&#8221; would have taken quite some time. Running to the garage, the kitchen, going to gather paint supplies etc, walking around naked having period blood dripping is about the most uncomfortable feeling, I don&#8217;t think any woman would be walking around without a pad or tampon.

So, your point about hormones &#8220;creating havoc with a woman&#8217;s emotions&#8221;........ I guess there must be other cases of menstruation driven suicide?

It is believed that the painting was used directly from the tube, there was no type of palette used to mix the paint and no water jar that indicated the brush was wet. Acrylic paint is very thick. My last post explains it all.

Except for the first letter, the other strokes have a sweep and fluidity that is not possible just out of the tube.

Running to the garage, the kitchen, going to gather paint supplies etc, walking around naked having period blood dripping is about the most uncomfortable feeling, I don&#8217;t think any woman would be walking around without a pad or tampon.

Somebody even suggested she went down to the garage more than once. I've never heard LE indicate that the blood drips, which were upstairs between the master bathroom and the back bedroom, also went down the stairs and out to the garage. Hmmmm.....

I asked yesterday for a link to any other murder where the killer left no trace evidence of himself without disturbing victim dna and fingerprints...AND where the investigator could not detect use of gloves or massive areas of wiping.

That would be helpful if such a case has ever existed.

For those who just read here, look around the cases here...and see if you can find one. Help is needed. Maybe I missed lots of them.

He didn't leave DNA the next morning either. The explanation doesn't need help from other cases, it's right there.

Matter of fact I'm following an axe murder case in South Africa at the moment - the son of the family is accused of axing his family to death - Henri van Breda. His DNA and prints are not on the bloody axe even though he admits he held it throughout a physical struggle with an alleged intruder and threw it down the stairs after him as he made his escape. Verdict is scheduled for May 21st. Not one that has come to resolution yet but chances are high that he will be convicted based on the trial and ALL the circumstantial evidence.

I cannot believe it has been almost 7 years. CRAZY, wow! :rollercoaster:

Here we are at closing arguments. Do you remember how many times we heard this case will never make it to trial? The case is going to be thrown out? Just wait for summary judgment? According to many, today was never going to be. Well, here we are...Rebecca’s family is almost there. It has been a hard fight for the Zahau’s. In my opinion, fighting a giant. Mr. Greer has had many rocks in his arsenal, hoping his closing argument is the stone! :cheer:
