LOL. It really just makes it easier to revist a topic in the future-rather than digging through all the threads to find where it was discussed.Thank you JBean, and I will try harder to remember we are a forum now and not a single thread!!:great:
That's a possibility. If she had felt that she was being unfairly blamed by everyone in the family for causing Max's death, that could explain why she would kill herself in such an angry and violent way. That could also explain why she wrote that message about 'saving him' rather than writing an apology or confession of any guilt in her part.
Could it be that he sent the message straight thru without calling? Sometimes I do that at night when I don't want to disturb someone with a ring, or I just want to leave a message without a long drawn conversation. I.e. My MIL lol!
I don't see anything in Max's autopsy report to support the idea that initial reports on Max's condition were positive and he took a turn for the worse prior to the time the voice mail message was left. His brain death was not declared until a couple of days later.
snipped from the article that Rosemary pasted above:
Contacted by News 8, Romano said she sent the text message to ask if she could come by the mansion.
Family members said Rebecca had picked up Romano at the airport on Monday afternoon, several hours after Max Shacknai's fall down the stairs.
"I just wanted to talk to her about the accident," Romano said. "And so I sent her a text message that said, Hey are you around? I'd like to come by,' and I never heard from her. She never responded to me."
Romano recalled sending the text earlier in the evening, though, and questioned the 10:41 p.m. time stamp on the AT&T call log.
Maybe she stayed there part of the time and stayed with DS at the hospital and RMcDH part of the time. It sounds logical, since Rebecca picked her up at the airport.
It makes no sense for NR to stay at the mansion when her sister's residence is down the street. You would think that NR would be with her sister to lend her support during such a difficult time. Also, why would RZ pick NR up? If RZ did pick NR up, why didn't NR take the opportunity then and ask what happened when Max fell? Was the text established as an alibi? jmo
I'm not sure if this is what people are asking, but I have an iPhone/servicer is AT&T. Someone can call me and it won't reflect on my call log (the actual phone call log-not the bill call log). It goes to voice mail.
Looks like police had to take JS's word that the phone message to voice mail took place, what was in it, and when it was made. There is no log of the message and it was supposedly erased.
Another interesting detail is that DS sister came to town and according to her she wanted to talk with RN about Max's accident. 10: 41 pm is kind of late to be wanting to come over and talk, no?
I don't understand the delay thing even though I have never text anyone before, I watch people text conversations back and forth for extended periods of time and the messages seem pretty instant back and forth. Its not like its pictures, its text. Why is it there always seems to be delays when we hear about crimes? She says she sent the text earlier than 10:41 pm. The time she actually sent it should be visible on her phone (meaning the sister's phone). Sometimes text messages get delayed, so it's more important to see when it was sent from the sender's phone than when it was received on the recipient's phone.

I don't know, but I get delays all the time.
