What is a referral? When I look up someone's profile, under the "Forum Information" it will say "Referrals: 0". But sometimes there will be a number instead of 0. How does one give or get a "Referral?" And what does it mean? Is it a good thing or a bad thing?

I think it is when someone registers and uses a member as a referral.

I finally found out what it was too. I have 1 referral. NOW have to tell you that I've met alot of people that I have referred to this Forum. I wonder who the heck the person is.......that actually joined. For instance both my son and his wife were extremely interested in the Peterson case and I kept asking them to join. I have no idea is it was them...but would probably think that they'd tell me! haHAAHAHH
IT'S A MYSTERY WHO USED MY NAME TO JOIN!

Thanks for clearing that up. I always wondered what that was for.
