Regina was last seen leaving the parking lot of the US Armed Services Recruiting Station in her hometown of Somerset, Kentucky at approximately 11:30 am on August 23, 1997. Her mother discovered her vehicle abandoned in a WalMart parking lot across the street at 5:30 am the next morning. The car was unlocked, and Regina's purse, ID, and money were inside. There was no sign of Regina at the scene.
