I absolutely agree with you Human and Neesaki,

This has to be done, especially since we are aware that most sexual predators start at quite a young age. We also have the unfortunate knowledge that
they cannot stop themselves and whenever there is an opportunity they take it.

Telling the boys they had to run or they would be shot seems like this monster's m.o. I'm sorry but I can't even bring myself to type his initials so
I have to type "monster".

I'd like to know when he purchased this gun. How many years ago? Where did he buy the bullets? How often?

Also I would like to know if other D.N.A. was found in his car and if they could locate a previous car and check that.

I would imagine the F.B.I. is on this. I sure hope so!

About the gun, this is from WCCO news coverage:
WCCO’s Esme Murphy said Heinrich said he did not have a revolver when he assaulted Scheierl, despite telling Scheierl that he did. He said he only purchased it after assaulting Scheierl.

Beautifully written, Wisdom. I'll try and find you both playing and join in.
I have such admiration and respect for the Wetterling family also.

What the heck! Let's all play!

I agree to those above who doubt he hunted victims out of state, I wouldn't be surprised if he has never left the state of MN actually.

If he didn't make a deal for which prison, maybe they can send him to the worst of the federal prisons, US Penitentiary Administrative Maximum in Florence, Colorado, not known for being comfy or cushy. Notable prisoners kept here are Unabomber Ted Kaczynski, shoe bomber Richard Reid, and Oklahoma City conspirator Terry Nichols.

http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2013/05/10-worst-prisons-america-part-1-adx

Known as ADX, and nicknamed the "Alcatraz of the Rockies," this is among the most secure prisons in the world—and one of the most isolating: Many of its cells, fashioned out of poured concrete with solid steel doors, are equipped with built-in showers and automated chutes that open onto private concrete "exercise yards," such that occupants need never see a guard or fellow prisoner—much less a visitor. One former warden interviewed by 60 Minutes called it "pretty close" to hell.

Probably too expensive.

I’m still in complete shock with how all this unfolded. I’ve prayed nearly every night for decades that the Wetterling family could have answers to what happened to Jacob. They have those answers now…but it’s such an empty feeling isn’t it? I have such an admiration of the strength they have all shown over the years and especially yesterday in that court room. Now we all know that a big part of that strength has been Jacob watching over and pushing them all forward. It just absolutely tears me up inside thinking about how Jacob’s last moments and innocent words spoken… were spent with this sorry excuse for a human being. Jacob will never be forgotten and has made a lasting impression on my life and countless others. When my time is up on earth I’ll be finding you for a game of hockey little buddy. Rest in peace Jacob.

Wisdom, since Jacob has been found, I too have been in complete shock, and your words so clearly express what I have been feeling for several days now. My oldest child was 6 when Jacob was taken. We would kneel down at bedtime to pray for him and his family. I worked on the JW committee. This event traumatized families with children and made us all feel so helpless, if a child could just disappear in little St Joseph,MN, what could we do. Truly our lives changed forever. My prayers continue for the Wetterling family and the family and friends and residents of this community, who will take a long time to heal. In hope that we can all heal.

I think it's a strong possibility that he had more victims. He confessed about Jacob because it serves to his benefit right now. There could be other victims that he is not mentioning because it does him no good to do so.

He's not a criminal who is confessing out of remorse and he's not a criminal who brags and blabs about his deeds.

Knowing the details of Jacob's case could possibly solve other cases.

jmo

He's probably giving few details and making it sound like he didn't commit much sexual assault against JW because he knows he's going back to prison/jail. The worse his offenses, the more likely he is to face attacks from other prisoners. Yeah, that will probably happen anyway, but pedophiles/murderers who commit egregious offenses are likely to become much more of a target.

All good points and you're probably right. However, there's plenty of DNA from that crime scene that has only ever been tested against the WM3 and a few others closely connected to the case. Would there be any harm in seeing if any of it belongs to DH?

I am sure his DNA is entered in a data base, so if there is any other hit, police would know.

In his 🤬🤬🤬🤬 collection, he had a pic of a naked girl

I think that's the one count of child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 he actually plead guilty (he was facing 25 counts by they dropped the rest). So he is going to prison for an image of a naked minor female. So, yes, potentially he could be into minor females as well as minor males.

"Heinrich, who had as many as 150 pornographic images of children in his home and computer, including minors under age 12, admitted to downloading image of naked minor female on March 1, 2014, as well collecting other images."

I din't think he travelled around much either. Even with a menial job, he would have spending money. He lived with his parents so unless they made him pay rent, at minimum wage it would leave a nice amount of cash.

He actually purchased the house in Annandale. Someone said he went bankrupt twice. He must have been able to make his credit better or maybe he bought a house contract for deed?

I cannot believe that he did not have a severe alcohol problem. He was into drinking as a young teen and with his mental health issues, self medicsfion sure seems like something he would be prone to doing. Drinking costs a lot.

What did he do with the souvenirs he collected?

**warning, graphic**

I really have a hard time believing his details of the abuse inflicted on Jacob. I'm wondering if there could possibly be evidence left like blood/dna on Jacobs clothes that would indicate a worse scenario than be described. Would that be enough evidence to perjury himself?

I find those details implausible, as well.

Has anyone read the second edition book "Answers in the Sand" (First book: "It Can't Happen Here")? I'd love to read it but couldn't find it available on Amazon. Any way we could lobby for them to resell? I think there are a lot of facts in that book that would be very interesting. Thanks.

My hubby wrote a book and all you do is put it on the Amazon site as a downloadable book. Kindle .

Well, I added it to my list on Amazon so I'll see what happens. If anyone else is interested please consider doing the same (shows unavailable and limited availability currently) and if there's enough interest, I'm sure Amazon will act. Thanks.

Thanks, I requested that there be a kindle version available and I added it to "my list" (I'm guessing that's a wish list). I'll see what happens. And congratulations to your husband, it's not easy to be published. :)

Seems he got a sweetheart deal, no charges for Jacob. That is probably the only way these poor parents could finally lay him to rest. Hopefully, there will be more charges coming for him. There is no way this is the only time he has done this…..

This has Jacob written all over it. One thing Jacob would do is throw a game if the losing side wasn't feeling good. He would lose to win. The same thing had to happen with Heinrich. We basically let Heinrich walk, but in return Jacob is home with his family.

Yes, I ordered it from Amazon and got it from "PB Bookshop". I just checked and it was $11.95.
I'm rereading it now. He really had a handle on all of the craziness that was going on in Paynesville. Amazing research. Lots of offenders to choose from around there.

Would the DNA from the West Memphis case be on any database though, given that the case is officially classed as solved?

Lovely post. I have so much admiration for the Wetterling family. Jacob's case reminds me of Daniel Morcombe's and his family are incredible too.
