Reporter Ted Haller said that gasps could be heart in the courtroom,,,,which was filled mostly with media. He continued to say, If the media was gasping, we can only imagine how the family itself was feeling.

We can't sit here and concern ourselves with what LE did not do.

He is only 53.
He can serve his 10 years of good behavior, the placed into a rehabilitation program by the time he is 63.
He will then be considered 'reformed' and then he will be back on the farm-- home free.:mad:

I'm pretty sure that when someone is serving their sentence in a federal prison they serve the whole sentence. I could be wrong but I think the deal of being able to apply for parole after half the sentence is served is for state prisons.

I am at work really trying to hold back the tears. What a heartbreaking statement by this 🤬🤬🤬. Wow. Now I am pissed and incredibly sad. . Poor Jacob.
I am in the same boat. My heart is racing and my stomach feels like I am going to be sick and I can't wait to get out of work so I can go home and cry and hug my two precious boys. I can't even imagine what this might feel like for Jacob's family.

I have played out so many scenarios in my head of what happened over the years, many of which included the murder of Jacob. But hearing Jacob ask what he did wrong, asking to go home, crying - none of those things went through my head. The images I have now of Jacob, cold, afraid, pleading to go home. I am so angry and my heart hurts.

I commend LE and the Wetterlings for drawing the confession.

He sure was bold, as someone stated earlier. I can't believe he stole a Bobcat from a construction site to bury the body...then dug it up and transported it across the road and buried it again a year later!

And to load his gun and shoot JW after seeing a police car? This guy is insane.

Who knows what he is saying is true.

The only thing I would believe coming out of the devils mouth is where he buried Jacob.

Heinrich probably got a thrill in court today by telling everyone these horrible details.

Now these guys. LE were never going to solve this case alone. The hair should have been tested in 2004. They didn't even remember they had it until 2015.

Incompetence. With such a high profile case, they should have been all over that.

I can only remark that after sitting through all of this complete hogwash today that I don't know if I can believe much of what this 🤬🤬🤬 has to say.

He claims that after seeing a police cruiser go by he got spooked and shot Jacob. Because firing two rounds off after you see a cop car in the dark of night sure wouldn't arouse suspicion! Making that kind of noise sure doesn't attract any attention.

I think that should be #101 in all crime manuals: Upon seeing law enforcement; if you get scared; just fire off two rounds in the dark and kill the person.

The only good that can come from all of this is that his remains are found and this is the end of it. I will not give this 🤬🤬🤬 one more second of thought or of my time. I refuse to write another comment with his initials or name. He's nothing. He's of no consequence.

The DEVIL DID NOT WIN THIS ONE.

Yes I commend LE as well.

The only reason why Heinrich confessed was because of the deal that was made.
It was agreed between the lawyers and families that he would not be convicted of murder or molestation.
He will only get a 20 year sentence and will be in a comfy federal prison.
This in exchange to tell them where he buried Jacob so the Wetterling family could finally have answers.

A deal was made with the devil and Heinrich used the child he murdered and molested as a bargaining chip - evil beyond words or comprehension.

I thought the same thing. It just doesn't make any sense.

but he did drive 30 miles away to the Paynesville farm. No one may have been in that vicinity that could see or hear anything.

One thing is for sure. If he were ever to live beyond those 20ish years, he would not be safe outside those prison walls.

I'm wondering if they will make/have made some sort of arrangement for him to be in ISO instead of general population.

I was thinking the same thing. He panicked because he saw a police car and then shot him? Didn't think the gun shot would draw attention? He didn't think anyone would notice a Bobcat being used in the middle of the night and even with a Bobcat, part of the red jacket was sticking out? His story stinks as badly as he does.

Stearns Co Sheriff Stanner and others present.

I know this is a trivial point, but did he give any explanation of why he asked the three boys their ages before he took Jacob?

I am hoping someone like Christopher Scarver finds him and does a Jeffery Dahmer on him in prison.
