A large tank lid that had been placed over the remains overnight was lifted and placed to the side just after 8 a.m.
Owens said he has not been in contact with any of Dunn’s family members as of 9:20 a.m., but said he was going to return a call to her great aunt, who left a message at his office.
"I don’t have any contact information for the mother, or anyone else," he said. "We may be able to contact Haliey’s dad, Clint (Dunn). ... But I don’t know if he still lives here."

Last night investigators used a steel oilfield storage tank lid manufactured by desert tanks to cover the scene. They just now lifted it with a crane to begin the investigation

"Billie Jean Dunn is not an investigator, so we will wait until we hear from law enforcement," Young said, as to whether the connection of the remains is made to the teenager reported missing Dec. 28, 2010.
