Well - it's 2 years later, they didn't back down, and it seems to have done a lot of good. I remember such a huge fuss when they weighed the kids, and sent home notes to the parents telling them their kids were overweight or obese. There was such a fuss about invasion of privacy you'd have thought it was a strip search! And supposedly all the kids fragile little egos were supposed to be destroyed...
Nope. The program is working, and it woke up a lot of parents who needed to know what they were doing to their children. I hope the program does spread to other schools.
