For "us" that's what marriage is. For actors and politicans, marriage is sometimes for show. Whether Tom's personal beliefs and practices are due to his religeon or his sexual orientation, I don't know nor care. However, I'm thinking that the marriages were smoke screens.

You might just be right, Jeana... But now-a-days I would think that if an actor is gay, he doesn't have to get married.. Religion? hum, the Religion I was brought up in (Christian) is sex is supose to be for marriage... I would think most would feel the same as well..

Nope. a gay actor still has to pretend he's hetero if his image is that of sex symbol to heterosexual women. otherwise he loses his appeal and therefore box office returns.

it's all about the money. studios aren't going to employ anyone who doesn't stand a chance of pulling power. most of today's 'stars' are propelled into that position due to their power to make fantasies, IMO.

find out tomorrow Brad Pitt is gay and he would be below 'C' list, i reckon. simply not bankable.

A website attempting to take the piss out of Tom Cruise’s religion of choice, Scientology, is currently facing closure after officials threatened legal action.

ScienTOMogy.info has received hundreds of complaints from members of the scientology religion after they broadcast spoof videos of the film star from their site.

One of the video’s, called, ‘Tom Cruise Kills Oprah’ satirises Cruise's appearance on Oprah’s chat show showing him electrocuting the queen of daytime with his eyes…is well funny.

The Scoop website has published a letter from the church to ScienTOMogy that reads:

You are hereby on notice that the registration and use of this domain name in this fashion has caused your name to be falsely associated with our client's registered mark, SCIENTOLOGY. The fact that you have changed one letter ("m" instead of "l") does not protect you from trademark infringement."

I'm thinking no, they never had sex. I was always confused about the divorce and him saying "Nic knows why I filed for divorce." I think when she discovered she was pregnant, he knew it couldn't be his. I think she cheated on him (and who wouldn't if hubby was trying to keep his instrument clean???) and that was it for him.

I am not against sex before marriage. Just use birth control if you're gonna do it.

The rumors when he was married to Mimi were they could not get pregnant and it was due to him. Perhaps he wanted to adopt? Cause I always thought Nicole did get pregnant and she had the Dr. take DNA to prove it was his. I think he left her because he was in an affair with Penelope Cruise.
Perhaps the baby is his. Maybe he had some reason before he did not want his own child. Nicole miscarried, likely due to stress from his affair and suddenly blind siding her with divorce.
Or maybe it is not his. Maybe the rumors of Nicoles pregnancy was just hype.
I heard they always had seperate sleeping quarters. Maybe he never decided to knock on her door in the middle of the night?

Tom has what I call the 'ick" factor. He smiles and looks nice but something is just off.

In an interview that Mimi Rogers did a while back she did say that she had tried to get pregnant during her marriage to Tom. She said she was happy when she got pregnant in her second marriage so she sounded like she was not sure if it was his fault or not.
Also on the Discovery Channel Biography when they did Nicole her sister said that the Baby was his and that it took Nicole months to recover from that breakup. I really believe she loved him very much and that she was trully blindsided when he walked out on her.
If he is Gay who knows, but I think he can perform when the need arises (no pun intended)

Yeah. He also has a cousin of the same last name who is also an actor. Not as well known but he's in alot of movies.
