Doesn't this all seem just a tad "orchestrated" to anyone?

I mean, the super whirlwind romance, getting pregnant just a few
months into the relationship...and Tom has NEVER been particularly
public with his relationships.

To me, it screams, "Hey world, I'm NOT GAY!! I fathered a child!!"

I've got news for you: Even gay men can father children.
Happens all the time.

Well, I shouldnt suscribe to believing stuff I read on the net, but reading everything I read today on Cruise/ Holmes/Scientology..... and having given it more thought....I think the rumours are right, he is gay. The marriage to Katie is arranged, staged and agreements have been signed. I don't want to think the same went for "our Nic" who I have always tremendously liked, but it kinda adds up...apparently there's was a 10 yr contract and she was promised 7 movies in which to star. Even though I would never put her in Tom's league, she was always very ambitious and had her sights set on Hollywood from a very early age, and maybe she got an offer too good to refuse. They say she really loved him and maybe thought he would change.
They did seem to split up rather quickly and without the public having any idea of just what their problems might be, but because they were a reclusive type couple I guess I didn't think too much about it.
You would think in the times in which we live, everyone would be alright with Cruise being gay, but ya know , look what happened when Rosie O Donnell came out, people were outraged. And gay guys just don't get Tom Cruise type roles.....apparently he's afraid he'll end up doing acting parts like Rupert Everett.
Some people would just not believe it when it came out Rock Hudson was gay. It took AIDS to bring him out of the closet.

I'm thinking that Tom probably figured if he found a chick young enough, he could raise her up "right" and he wouldn't have to deal with her being able to figure out that he and his "religeon" are full of b.s. until its too late. Thankfully, her daddy will be able to help her to some degree, but only as much as she's willing to let him. Lucky for her, I believe most courts view Scientology as a "cult" and would make sure they had shared custody of any children.

Either Cruise or the cult fired his sister. she did no favours for him or Scientology.

i believe the one good thing to come out of this whole fiasco is Scientology has been set back for years. they were, IMO, almost becoming acceptable-ish, but then TomKat happened and watchers such as ourselves in the general public went, What????

5 years from now and i believe we'll see Tom Cruise only got the odd couple of films. i really think Mission Impossible III may just be his last 'big' movie. come on: will producers or directors of worth touch him now? he isn't bankable and is a laughing stock.

as for Katie Holmes and her career: Katie who?

I just read on the Internet that TC's ranking in popularity as a star went from a big NUMBER 3 to a LOWLY NUMBER 197.     I wonder how much lower it will plummet.

So he has done himself no favors with his shinanigins.

I would imagine he still has enough for a comfortable retirement though.

Me too. However, if I never have to see that smug face of his again, I'll be fine with that. :o

...and it has been reported that Steven Spielberg has had his fill...among other things, he got tired of Tom's Scientology groups getting a tent on set. I am sure that Tom's antics cost Spielberg big $$$$ at the box office when War of the Worlds was released.

The movie tanked here in the states.  It did well over seas, though. Enough to help the little creep :loser: out with his large retirement fund.

She was practically "Katie who" before Tom, IMO. Since I read the weekly magazines religiously, of course I'd heard of her but she only got a passing mention every now and then. She hasn't done anything worth remembering, unless you consider "Dawson's Creek", which I personally don't.

But I would love to get a chance to knock those stupid, ridiculous, giant sunglasses off her head, and MK Olsen's too while I was at it. Only Jackie O was iconic to pull off that look, not these little idiots.

They look really stupid on Katie, but on Mary-Kate, those giant sunglasses on her 80lb frame look ridiculous. I can't stand the Olsen twins but especially MK, slobbing around like a bag-lady in clothes that would fit a horse.

I am so tired if seeing her wear those glasses also....she needs a pair that fits her face better, they look stupid on them...

From email celebrity newsletter:

Tom Replaces His Sister...

Tom Cruise has hired veteran publicist Paul Bloch to take over
publicity duties from his sister, Lee Anne DeVette. Word is Tom
is not happy about all the PR disasters that have occurred lately
.

Yup, it's all his sister's fault.
