Mabel, I was just thinking that very same thing. Apparently, their "religeon" has something against taking doctor prescribed medication, but not getting married before having children. :loser: :loser: :loser: :loser:

Yeah, frankly I'm kinda hoping Katie does have a little PPD. Having experienced it I never thought I would wish it on another woman. Tom can say, "Swallow these vitamins, exercise and buck up, Kate!" I guess he calls her Kate. It was all over the radio this a.m. that Katie was a virgin when she met Tom. Can't believe people publicize their personal lives like this (or that I am interested)!

Hard to teach your kids to hold off til marriage, at least the baby part, when all these stars set such a lousy example when it comes to marriage and babies. IMO. Don't even get me started on stars' names for their babies, either!

Doesn't this all seem just a tad "orchestrated" to anyone?

I mean, the super whirlwind romance, getting pregnant just a few
months into the relationship...and Tom has NEVER been particularly
public with his relationships.

To me, it screams, "Hey world, I'm NOT GAY!! I fathered a child!!"

I've got news for you: Even gay men can father children.
Happens all the time.
I've always been a big Tom Cruise fan until he divorced Nicole - something just didn't seem right there then with all the public things lately - I think he may just be gay!!!

TC publicist, who is his sister, called People Magazine to report the pregnancy - isn't that weird????

TC for all these years kept his private life private and now it's all TOO PUBLIC........................

Ok, so how does all this scientology crap work?

Does she have to have lobor without any medicine? No shots, not nothing? Au naturale?

Lord have mercy? I do not envy her!

She should've stuck with Dawson's Creek.

At least one foreign newspaper has called into question the role of the Church of Scientology in the deflowering of Holmes.

England's The Sun reported that Holmes was encouraged by members of the church, often described as a cult, to start a family with Cruise before their nuptials in December.

The baby is said to be due in about six months.

Scientology birth-look what Katie Holmes can look forward to!

In the tradition of fellow Scientologists Leah Remini and Kelly Preston, Katie Holmes is expected to attempt a Scientology laboring and birth experience when she has Tom Cruise's baby next spring. As they do with most everything, Scientologists have guidelines for the process, which include birth without meds (a fairly normal birth choice for some women anyway). However, here's the kicker - mothers are to attempt a silent birth, because they believe that it is traumatic for the baby to hear their mother cry or groan in pain while they are being born.

According to Scientology founder Ron Hubbard, "Maintaining silence in the presence of birth saves the sanity of the mother and the child and safeguards the home to which they will go."

I read this on celebrity baby blog....

Well, I would have flunked this test. The only drugs they gave me were after, and it was to soothe my throat from screaming so much!

God help her. That is totally unreasonable,IMO. She is so young and I think she is under his spell. A woman giving birth should have the choice of pain relieving meds and or an epidural.
And if they decide to break up, no doubt he will fight for he child as he is raising his adopted children schooled at home in scientology.

I saw this on an entertainment show tonight. It made me so angry! It would be one thing if both the husband and wife were already Scientologist and mutually agreed to this. But in this case I cant help but feel he is calling all the shots and she is just following like a meek little puppy.

In another thread I voiced my opininion on great age differences in married couples, many posters here were offended and I appologize. But to me this is just "the" example of why I disagree with great age differences. I do not have a problem when people are in thier 30' and up marrying someone older, at that age you more or less know what you want and have life experience, but this girl is so young and I think she is making a BIG mistake. If I were her parent, I would be livid, and so worried. This man is obviously going thru some kind of mid life crisis. To get her pregnant after they insisted she was waiting, is just disrespectful to me. I think he is pushing her way to fast.

Is he really raising the kids, I thought Nicole had them most of the time?

I just want to slap him, I used to like him!

If she is already three months pregnant, that means by December she will be five months pregnant and big as a cow!! OMGosh...how embarrassing!

So they've been dating since April, got engaged in June, and she got pregnant when? Maybe July? I'm not impressed. Some might call it a whirlwind romance. I call it stupidity. I wonder what the Scientologists call it.

They probably call it luck if they charge by the family member....Tom pays $10,000 a month...Katie pays $10,000 a month...and now they will get to pay $10,000 more a month for little "Dustin." That $ quote is probably low. The Scientologists probably could care less as long as the dough continues to roll and grow

Gosh, I bet Tom Cruise won't be so dreamy after she goes into labor and he's standing there telling her to Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh and suck it up. The only "guideline" I'd be giving him is my middle finger!

lol. It is her bady and her delivery. I have no doubt he will attempt to brainwash her and take over.. If he insist on delivery with no groans or screams I hope she realizes who he really is.

Kind of obvious that old Ron has never had a baby isn't it! While Katie is bearing down and pushing I think ole Tom should be in a birth bed right beside her with someone shoving a log up his azz. We'll see how long he stays silent.

How do people who are supposed to be intelligent get involved in a cult like this? How do they get so taken in? I always thought John Travolta was a pretty intelligent person...not anymore. I don't see Tom as being anything but one great big ego.

Absolutely! Quite humorous for a man of all people to tell a woman that she should remain silent while giving birth. Let him try to squeeze something the size of a watermelon from something the size of a lemon and see how quiet he remains!!!!! :slap:

Yep...I said the same thing. Tom said she was planning something really special. Well, she had better hurry up because she is going to start showing soon. Why in the world didn't they get married first? :o It seems to be the fad now days. I know accidents happen, but this is planned. I agree with the theory of him saying...I am not gay. I have a child. That is sooo laughable! They even have a support group for gay men that are fathers. The Hollywood crew are soooooo stupid sometimes. Or should I say...they think WE are so stupid. Gezzzeeee. :loser:

Tom said that Kate was planning something really special...does that mean she was doing the planning by herself....fulfilling that plan all by herself?????
I wonder if she would be allowed to use a turkey baster or if maybe the head honcho of the cult helps out. That wouldn't surprise me at all.

My first thought was "Well, obviously the Scientology religion approves premarital (unprotected) sex." :loser:
