Reported/Possible sightings of Elizabeth and/or Gabriel from 12/18 to 12/30

Why is this info coming out now? I mean why didn't they report the sighting? They don't watch the news???

Some people don't. Some people only watch it once in a while depending on their schedule. To some people the news is very important, and to others it's not.

I have friends who make it a point not to watch the news, for various reasons.

Other times people are just hesitant to call LE, but if LE goes there, and they're friendly, the person sees there's no reason to feel intimidated, and they speak up.

That's why it's important that LE get out there and show around pictures and talk to people.

I don't know why it's up to Logan and his family to get this info. But, then, it didn't become a kidnapping until Dec. 28th. Oh, never mind. I don't know how these things work...:blushing:

Ozono is close enough to SA that I don't think she was staying there. If both were really in PJ's, maybe they slept in the car. The clerk only talks about EJ going into the bathroom. Maybe to change Gabriels diaper? Wish we knew what time this happened....

I agree, if she was staying next door why use the bathroom at the store. Diaper change would have happened before checking out of the hotel.

If the cousin found the clue and stopped at the store by chance then the PI must not be interested in looking for all the stops along the way to SA either. Town and Country (now known as Stripes in my town) is always right on the route when traveling through towns and are usually very busy and logical choice for a traveller to stop.

He also is likely still at the info gathering stage...he is coming in with a lot of catching up to do.

What bothers me is that it seems like LE is waiting for the info to come to them, instead of actively going out and seeking it.

But since it happened before EJ and Gabriel arrived in San Antonio and is a town on her direct route to San Antonio, I'm not sure how helpful it would be in finding him. I mean, she obviously stopped in various places along the way to buy gas. It does reinforce how she's been characterized as treating him, though.

I think it is credible, but not helpful, since it was before. I wonder if they have gone to the gas stations/stores along the way to Victoria? TS seemed adamant that she went to Victoria and then back to the SA bus station, yet LE seems to refute this. If they find him in the Victoria area, will TS say she told them that in the beginning? :waitasec:

There are many reasons people don't watch the news.

Too busy with their own life to watch/read news
Work schedule interferes with watching TV news
not interested in news
watching news makes them fearful or depressed or angry
depressed already, so not participating in life, world around them
traveling and missed local news during that period

I'm sure there are tons of other reasons. There are periods in nearly everyone's lives when we miss the News for days or weeks. That's why it's so important to keep Gabriel's picture posted everywhere, and keep his face and story in the media. Someone whe never watched the news may happen to catch it unintentionally, or see the poster at a convenience store, and it may trigger a memory.

Maybe they did stop but spoke to a person who wasn't on duty at the time EJ stopped there. SA has not given the story much media time, few flyers in SA, etc. I think the witness's story is credible because of the details she gave about EJ and GJ.

I'm not that confident that they(LE) really puts in the effort we think they do... and not sure the people with the information are comfortable talking to LE...only b/c most people doubt theirself and arent really sure enough to make the call but are more likely to tell a volunteer a hunch.

also, i friends in austin, who had no idea who Gabriel was until I told them, thats only an hour from SA.

Bear with me here, When I was 9 or 10, my mom was going to run with me and my sister(custody stuff) in the end, she did not. But the talks I remember hearing, are about which states are better to run to, they don't "get along" with TX, and won't enforce TX court papers, or something, and I'm wondering, if it can work like this during investigations? and even though it's a missing baby, TX is hesitant to put alot of man hours into this?? IDK, I would hate for that to be the case, being Texan and all

It seems to me that Elizabeth's route was not investigated until now -- I am not sure why it has not - due to Tempe LE, SA LE, FBI? I think more will come out of Logan's road trip --

Seems to me that we need posters in every convenience store, gas station, hotel, motel along I-10 and maybe that poster should include a picture of the car she was driving

I mentioned this before but you would be surprised at how many people don't know who Gabriel is and haven't heard anything about this case. I live an hour away from San Antonio and my neighbors, friends- most of them had not heard of Gabriel. It's not on the local news, it's not on the main yahoo news page or main google news page and alot people don't watch CNN/HLN.

I think it could be EJ & Gabriel, but it also seems possible this woman's memory was triggered by Logan's family handing out flyers there at the store. I also wonder how she could just now be so positive about it being EJ & Gabriel when she wouldn't really have been paying attention over a month ago? I'm sure there's a lot of traffic in and out of the store. MOO
