The mean spirited, but innocently framed passive/ aggressive insinuations in the above post would be amusing, if they werent so defamatory and disturbing, imo.
I also think the whole "wife conversion" question was a baiting question "innocently" framed, with the goal of having an "opportunity" to respond with "poor Rebecca and her conversion angst". A question easily googled, rather than asked out of the blue in this particular thread about the murderer feeling comfortable in the mansion. But sure-- I'll take the bait, too, once.
Neither Jewish people, nor Christians, approve of suicide, OR murder.
Rebeccas death had absolutely nothing to do with denominational conflict. There is not a shred of evidence for that. From the outside looking in, it sure seems to me that religion was not a strong driving force in the daily routine for ANY of the members of the household.
I dont think any of us have seen any evidence of angst by Rebecca over Jonahs Judaism.
However, we HAVE seen evidence that she was very devoted to all of his kids, ex-wives, ex-wifes sister and her son, friends, etc. Even going so far as to chauffeur them and their luggage all over town during Maxs crisis. Just think about thatshe bent over backwards and went far out of her way to HELP people who openly hated her. What does that say about a persons character? Every last one of them could have afforded taxis or rental cars.
We HAVE seen evidence that she was very unhappy with Jonah allowing mouthiness and disrespect toward her by the older teens. I dont think anyone likes or enjoys disrespectful and mouthy adolescents, so I sure cant fault her there. It does definitely imply that she and Jonah had different ideas about discipline and behavior.
We HAVE seen evidence that she was considering telling Jonah she needed a break from their relationship partly because of the teens disrespect and mouthiness.
We have evidence that she and Max had a close and loving relationship, and that this absolutely infuriated Dina. (Which makes the vision of Dinas nonprofit quite hypocritical, imo.)
We have not seen evidence that Rebecca was distraught, sad, or frustrated about conversion to Judaisism, or even discussing or considering conversion to Judaism.
Does your post really insinuate that Rebecca was murdered OR committed suicide partly because she felt depression or angst over conversion to Judaism?? Because what I read is a passive/ aggressive attempt to turn the conversation in that direction, and further bash the victim.
I continue to be astonished at the ongoing efforts to defile and defame this woman in her grave. EVEN if someone believes she committed suicide, the ongoing campaign to smear and defile her is just shameful and astonishing, imo.
My opinion only.
