Resemblance of McDuff and BSL

  • #221
I have looked at these photos for hours trying to decide if I think they are related. It is a very tough call. I think it would help tremendously if I could see a photo of his biological mother and see what her features looked like. For example -- he has the upper lip shape of McDuff but his lips are overall fuller. If his mom had a full mouth then McDuff could be the father. I have stared at the hairline over and over and it does appear to be a similar pattern but not quite.....the chin is eerily similar. The eyes are close though BSL has more of an arch to the eyebrows, so bio mother would have had to have a pretty prominent arch to her brows. The overall face shape is also very close. However, I though BSL was only 6 feet and this guy is 6'4" I wonder if mom was rather petite and thus BSL didn't make the 6 feet 4". The hair color and eyes are the same, but the set of the eyes is a tad different. Both having those front teeth that needed braces, and the same traits -- now -- that is almost impossible to overlook --

If I had to say it -- i would say not exactly his bio father -- but perhaps McDuff was his bio brother of his father. The traits are familial -- but not direct. Now, if I could see his bio mother's photo -- I might be able to hone in a little better. There is just those eery things -- the button up shirts - the tilt of the head -- ewwww.

Yes! I commented earlier. What the heck is that?
I am in no way weird with this stuff! But that IS fricken creepy!
I am sure there is a logical explanation!

'When Gary Lavergne interviewed Kenneth McDuff in prison, he stated that he had never felt such evil. He said that it was if a third person was there in the room with them'..

'Evil is more than a vague notion. It is an entity, and it is manifest on the earth. It has reflexes and intuition, senses vulnerability, and changes its form to adapt to its surroundings. Those who do not believe the Devil walks this earth have not seen the things that I have seen'
Roger L Depue; retired FBI BAU.

Does anyone else see the shadow of death (that big black blob) behind McDuff in his picture with the bluejean shirt on? What is that?

Yes, some of us were wondering about that earlier!

It's almost looking to me like a robe or blanket or something similar hanging on that back wall. I dunno!

I thought at first it was a portion missing from the photo but the edges around him are clean, so it looks to be a blanket, coat, robe, hanging strategically to block a wall urinal or similar area maybe?, still creepy..

My niece used to have an app, on her phone I think, that worked sort of like: You took a picture of two different people, trying to get basically the same distance, position, etc. The app would give you a percentage chance that the two persons were related to each other. It was fun -- results weren't always impressive, but they could be pretty interesting. Anybody familiar with what I'm talking about?

Anyhow, I'm sure there are much more sophisticated facial recognition/comparison programs out there. All this is intriguing enough, IMO, to find out what might be available for comparing these two.

ETA: I should see my niece tomorrow -- I'll get her to refresh my memory about what she had, at least.

Uncanny resemblance here! I would be willing to bet that somewhere, along the family thread, these 2 are somehow blood related. JMHO
:woohoo:
LOLOL!!

I agree, and thanks OceanMetTheSky for posting the photo side by side.

MOO...... When one thinks of how 2 people can look so much unalike; and then see how much these 2 favor in so many ways...... sure does lead me to think there is some relationship.

MOO, McDuff has a brother and 3 sisters. Could BSL have come from any of them?

This is such an interesting thread to me. I think the resemblance is scary. I've read articles/bios and watched some of the videos that you guys have shared. This would be my first "study" of sk's. I feel that the possibility of relation is a very real one. Also, it's come to mind that BS L likes to play head games as much as the next evil guy. It also seems very likely that he read the book written by Gary Lavergne and not only became a copycat criminal but was saying "Yeah, see if you can figure this one out. Let's see how smart you really are." It could have been a sick game to him, thinking he wouldn't get caught even with LE in his family and someone who was "in the know" regarding behaviors and characteristics of SKs. He sure tried to cover his tracks. Thankfully he isn't as smart as he thought. It's so puzzling how these people seem so normal from the outside.

KAM and BSL being related is still a question for me....

I would love to know if their voices sound alike. Was there ever an audio of BSL's first appearance? The one where he made the reply to the Judge about "Not In a case like this!" when asked if he could afford a lawyer. Didn't the poor girl he attacked in 1999 identify he because of this "unique voice?"

I also feel that he read his cousin's books, mainly "Bad Boy of Rosebud"...

The following quote chilled me to the bone:

Dr. Labowitz never examined McDuff but said he based his conclusions on what he had learned about him, particularly his early days in the tiny town of Rosebud in Central Texas.

"In some people we can find behavior antecedents in childhood. An absent father, a drunken mother, an abusive home. But it appears there was none of these. It seems his incredible lust for evil appeared spontaneously and full blown.''

No matter how thorough the studies of the Ted Bundys and Charles Mansons of the world, Labowitz said, "none of this can prepare us for an encounter with Kenneth McDuff.''

That is a powerful statement...I lived through the Ted Bundy chit. My house was only about 4 miles from the Sorority House where he killed the 3 co-eds. He was identified by the bite marks that he left on the girls bodies. It broke my heart when the killed the 12 year old girl, Kimberly Leach in Lake City. Then my EX was one of the LE's that transported him to Tallahassee after he was picked up in Pensacola, FL.The trial where he represented himself was un-effing-believable. What is the saying "A man who represents himself...Has a Fool for a Lawyer!"

Also thanks to the peeps that posted the "Google Books" links for "Bad Boy!" I am going to read it when I am staying overnight with my 92 year old MIL....Do not think I can read it at home by myself!!

Dear God...PLEASE Bring Mickey Home To All That Love Her!

Why just discuss the book? We also need to discuss the videos.

I wonder if anyone has considered contacting GL?

I know this is not where I should be posting this but I am looking for advice. I was renewing my dog license today in the Town of Clarence (suburb of Buffalo). Ahead of me in line was an 18 year old girl and a 57 year old man applying for a marriage license. They were not from our area and were driving a car with Illinois plates. I am concerned she may be a runaway. I dont know where to look. She was a petite blonde (hair was dyed, probably brown). I wrote down the license plate of the car and overheard where they are staying. What should/can I do with this info?
