Following is what I have been thinking about this trial.
2006
Jodi views PPL video. She recognizes golden opportunity.
In August, Jodi goes to the executive convention. Mingles beforehand, targeting Gus, because older guys are the easiest. Gets invited to executive dinner. Gus leaves her to go mingle, talk with others.
Abe notices her, because she has dressed to make sure someone in the Gold Circle does. She goes on date with Abe, also older.
Jodi talks with Abe on phone, needing help with PPL, also making herself available for dating. She keeps this fish on the line.
Jodi tells tale of her first meeting with Travis in September. Travis does not know she was there the month before with someone else.
Jodi mentions to Abe that she will be in Pasadena GETTING HER HAIR DONE. I know I always go out of town to get my hair done. Abe asks for another date. Magic panties!
Jodi and Travis are at Chris and Sky Hughes home. She later laments to Sky that she loves Travis and cannot get him to commit, which really means that he will not have sex with her. She also tells this same commitment tale of woe to Abe, Gus and likely Matt and Darryl.
Sometime in 2007, Travis has some kind of sexual encounter with Jodi, prompting him to swear off of her and go to his Bishop and loose his Temple Recommend. This likely occurred before she ever moved to Mesa, because according to friends Travis got his Temple Recommend back in 2008. He was done with her but still felt compassion for her and talked to her and loaned her money. He had been down and out in his own life. She recognized a mark when she saw one.
She moved to Mesa, into his ward. He saw her at some Family Home Evenings as well as other Morman events and the PPL events. She invited herself on trips he was taking but Travis was careful that someone else was always around to chaperone so he did not have another fall from grace.
Jodi keeps Matt, Daryl, Abe and Gus, as well as others, on the hook while she continues to go after Travis.
Jodi goes to Gus with her tales of woe. Gus rescues the damsel in distress by having her stay three nights with him in his mobile home so he can comfort her and by that I mean NOT in a grandfatherly way!
Jodi writes in her journal about a deposit she expected being late and causing her problems. She opines in this same journal entry that "one thing is sure, there is a lot of money". I believe she is not talking here about making money with PPL. She is talking about snagging some PPL higher up. She further writes a little mantra saying "money flows where Jodi goes". I guarantee you that Juan has proof that she accessed his bank account and stole money. He fought hard to get it in but my guess is that it was ruled too prejudicial.
Jodi was constantly sabotaging Travis's relationships with everyone. She answered a "what are you doing" text sent by one of Travis's girlfriends to his phone. She pretended to be Travis and said, "I am cuddling with Jodi". She slit his tires twice and Lisa's tires once and sent a letter of whoredom to her. She followed them on dates. She went, uninvited, to a party at his house and answered his door and introduced herself as Travis's girlfriend. She entered his house more than once through the garage or doggie door. She confronted Clancy in a restroom. She accessed Travis's computer from California and erased an email that he was still composing to Lisa. Mimi, who was interested enough in Travis to go to Cancun with him, suddenly tells Travis that she will go as a friend only. What did Jodi tell her? Jodi was making classic "I will make sure No One Else Wants You moves.
Jodi gets phone from Gus and uses it to make a sex tape. I believe here that she used program to manufacture this tape. It is all pieced together and Travis's voice was the only one that needed to be enhanced by the computer expert. I read somewhere early on that Travis had sleeping problems and was taking Ambien. Did she repeatedly call him on those nights and get him to engage in talk that he would not engage in at otherwise? Did she have a little script via computer for him to read? Did this happen early in 2007 and she kept it for blackmail just in case he would not commit?
There has never been any mention of cards, dinner dates, movie dates. NAY, not one single "I Love You" from Travis. Valentine's Day came and went without a single mention of thanks for the gifts or statements of love from either one of them. Unbelievable from a couple who had over 80,000 exchanges via text, instant messaging and Google chat. I believe that the majority of those messages were from her trying desperately to get him to call her. She sure left work and drove hours to his home when she could not get a reply from him.
One thing is sure, if Juan says they were never boyfriend and girlfriend I believe him. He has a lot more information than we have.
She could only hold a part time job because she was putting a lot of work into landing a big fish. She dealt with her money problems by convincing the men she kept hanging on that she had a dire need to borrow money. True sociopathic behavior is shown in all her known actions.
Jodi is the one who was the PLAYER. She was juggling a lot of men at one time. She constantly played one person against another, all the while presenting herself as a Special Snowflake.
. I hope they make a decision one way or the other. Paul Sanders (13th juror) is awesome. We are grateful for you. The media leaves much to be desired in their tweets. Oh and thanks for staring down the killer. Hope this is all over soon.
