I really, really want to believe that she manufactured the sex tape and snuck into his house planted the pictures and attacked TA but I don't think she is that smart. On top of that if his family thought either of those were possible Juan would be fighting tooth and nail to prove she premeditated everything. He has decimated the child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 claim and provided doubt whether they truly were official, I think it would be fairly easy to prove the tape was manufactured and the pics were added not taken?
During the original trial, the DT fought hard to exclude Jodi's reactions on the sex tape, they only wanted Travis's parts played, which would make him look really bad out of context, not that Jodi was asking him leading questions and to repeat himself because she didn't hear it loud enough. To me this proves she planted to do just that and blackmail him if she hadn't decided to kill him. She could've sent it to anyone to destroy him, whether it be his bishop or prospective new girlfriends. I also think she caught him offguard sleepy in bed when she took the nude shots of him, posed the KY as a prop, and took the ones of herself nude on a timer (selfies laying down). Doesn't prove to me that they had sex the day she killed him.

It's also possible she was trying to lure him up there and he would "disappear" after going on one of his trips. That would have saved her a lot of money and hustling to get the job done.

Oh, like pushing him off a cliff at Crater Lake??? That's very possible. The cliffs are really steep there, kinda like the "bride" in Montana that did that to her newlywed husband.

about how to make a point and move on, among other things. Maybe it's an AZ thing, but I have never seen a defense in any case carry on the type of questioning that goes on in this one. How does a jury even know what an important point is? It never ends-just goes on and on and on. And JSS NEVER tells them to move it along. I know I went to law school and mostly practiced in NY which may be faster paced, but this is just not normal. Their cross is generally longer than Juan's direct. And who the heck would ever hire either of these two if they had to pay an hourly rate. A traffic ticket could cost a million dollars. I often wonder if Jodi being on the stand for, what 18 days, is some kind of record. I wouldn't be surprised. It's all just so absurd.

Yup. You are so right that she does this.

When she finally makes a valid point for her defendent, she ruins it by asking a bunch more of the same question turned-3-ways-sideways and she either contradicts her point OR gets the jury so confused they have no idea what the point was to begin with.

LambChop, where did ZoeyW go? She was posting lists of good links, etc and someone asked her to post them on media thread I think and then she disappeared.
i liked her posts! I hope her feelings aren't hurt. :(
Yesterday was extremely difficult for lots of people to post at WS. It was running extremely slow.

Interesting theory. I read something from a post here earlier today where Travis was pushing JA to reveal why she was so insistent he make the visit to her in Yreka. Perhaps he was getting nervous/suspicious? Also, if I was leery of an ex who had demonstrated some craziness in the past and who quite possibly hated me, I sure wouldn't want to travel alone with them to visit a place with the ominous-sounding name Crater Lake. MOO.
Crater Lake is a beautiful, huge, man-made lake out of a crater in Southern Oregon, and it does have extremely high cliff walls.klaD0068.jpg

There are supposedly additional photos that were supposedly taken that day that were never made public. I wonder why not. And I wonder if they were shown to the jury and if not, why not.

This goes to my comment about the family. They are privy to more of the evidence then we are. If there was any chance TA and JA did not have sex that day I am positive Juan would be arguing that.

BPD also shouldn't be a mitigating factor because it's not a mental illness. IMO it shouldn't be a mitigating factor because a mature adult would get help for it and know how to manage it. BPD doesn't predispose a person to murder. I'll bet BPD-ers have the same incidence of being premeditative murderers as the non-BPD US population.

I believe your assessment to be fairly accurate. BPD individuals may commit violent crimes, but not because of their disorder. BPD people are attention seekers, highly manipulative and while some believe they have a higher rate of suicide I do not believe it. They may make more attempts, and some may succeed by accident. I say that because their attempts are not real but more an act designed to rile others. It's a form of manipulation and one that for some people works well. I know a few such individuals personally but one in particular stands out to me as classic BPD. She often plays the, "I'll kill myself" card. Numerous times since her teen years she has even made suicidal gestures during which she at first opportunity looks and listens for other people's reactions. One time she pretended to pass out but we saw one eye open just a little slit, probably because she could not hear us freaking out. She appears to me to be a very young girl even though she is early 30s, because she has never grown in certain areas, specifically social skills.

People who fear that those with certain disorders or mental illnesses are more likely to be dangerous are usually misinformed. There are those who are antisocial and have psychopathy that are the exception but for the most part, things like BPD or bipolar disorder do not make a person any more dangerous to others than they would be if they did not have the disorder.

Arias may have BPD but she also suffers psychopathy, at least...and that is not something that can be medicated away. She was, is, and always will be dangerous to others. IMO.

Hi Tex, I'm just curious how you sqaure Travis being so upset about her intrusion of his privacy via breaking into his accounts and him feeling at ease enough to let her take nude photos of him? By the 4th I don't believe he trusted her one bit, certainly not enough to allow naked pics of him to be taken by her, on anyone's camera. That's just my perspective though, do you really think he allowed her to do so after everything we know (and some of what we don't) went on?

I absolutely do. The evidence is clear that he did allow it. Why? Many reasons. He is a man. Most likely he hadn't had sex with anyone since she left in April. It's June 4! He's about to go to Cancun with a girl who had just punted him into the Friend Zone. Here comes Jodi...she's sorry! She feels so bad about the fight! She even brought a check for the car! Oh...by the way...she's freshly waxed and...brought the KY! She wants to see his new camera and take some pics like they spoke about three weeks ago...come on Travis!
In the same fight where he called her out for invading his privacy he tells her that she knows he will always take her back. She knew alright. She counted on it. They had sex, took pics. Trust? It was his camera. They either deleted them together or he knew he'd do it when she left.

Wow I have been reading here since yesterday morning. Just adding that I am new here and am impressed by the discussions and knowledge here. I read somewhere yesterday that there will never be an ending to this trial. Of course it was meant as a joke but it seriously feels that way when the defense is up. I look forward to the continued discussion and thet end date..
If this is posted in the wrong area.. I apologize...
Whoops I see now it should have been in sidebar... Realized that after I read all 39 pages

You know this one pissed her off

4. “Did you ever seek medical help for your mental condition?”

Well, if the "before" pics didn't hook you, surely this "after" pose:

Is that feigned 'authentic' emotion?

Say what you will about the unflattering prison stripes, but I have to say that the ensemble (minus the chains, handcuffs, zapper, etc.) DOES look quite comfortable. It looks like it might be made out of some kind of soft jersey material.

I respect your opinion but I am not buying it. Why would she record a sex tape but only expect one side to be played? I agree she was setting him up but she did not manufacture it.

5. “Why would you continue to sleep with Travis after you learned of his child-🤬🤬🤬🤬 issues?”

That jury had her number. It's a shame they didn't finish their job

Agree.
IMO the pics are what they are and what Juan and the experts said they are. Jodi and Travis took pics during sex (they talked about some poses during phone sex). It is not logical to contend the time stamps are altered on the sex pics but not on the shower pics. Jodi only admitted to being in Mesa at all on June 4 after learning of the camera evidence. She went there to kill him -not anything else. The photos were just to put him at ease and later to get him into a vulernable position in the shower.

I was thinking she brought older photos on her own card, stuck the card in TA's camera, and the new ones were time stamped. Could she have downloaded photos from his computer using an email? Was the one in braids/dark hair also a thumbnail?

And of course, there just had to be 6 of the 8 of her naked. Interesting that there were none of actual sex acts, because IIRC, didn't Flores tell CMJA that "he had proof they had sex that day?" Those aren't proof of sex IMO.

Flores could have planted a fib. LE sometimes does that in interrogations. Or, Flores could have just assumed, since at that point (because he didn't have all the evidence) he would't have known how absolutely bizarre-o the JA orbit was, and what you see is not at all what you get.

What I find truly fascinating after re-watching JW Q Dr D is that she really doesn't know how to ask questions or what the answers are going to be. She seemed shocked to "learn" about all the jobs Jodi had as if she never knew that. And to think she has been in practice for almost 20 years AND teaches other lawyers? I was thinking she was somewhat "green" but after researching her and finding out she has practiced that long and she still can't ask a decent question to save her life? THAT is fascinating to me!

Two things I've noticed about her... 1) She gets really thrown off-track when Juan gets an objection sustained on a wrongly-worded question. She often asks to approach, presumably to beg JSS to tell her how to ask the question properly since she can't figure it out herself. 2) If DeMarte gives an unexpected answer to some completely inane question, JW acts as though she has hit on a major gotcha moment. It'll be something like this:
JW: "Did you know she was wearing a blue shirt that day?"
DeM: "No I didn't."
JW (getting all perky and raising her voice an octave and cocking her head): "Oh really? You didn't know that? Are you sure?"
