Right. I think that's the way JA explained it, too. But I still think an object, even an object chaotically swaying back and forth, will fall in a more downward direction than an outward direction. She said she was standing by his dresser and the picture landed at her feet. I just... I just don't buy it. Not that I buy the idea there was a picture to begin with. I just don't buy her version of gravity on a chaotically swaying picture sailing out several feet. Maybe her dad really did knock her head against a door jamb a time or two. :D

:giggle:

Now a question:

Is there anything you buy in Jodi's story?

And now just a thought:

Maybe Travis turned this non existent paper into a paper airplane and threw it at her feet. :giggle:

I don't want to brag, but I'm the best invisible paper airplane maker in the world!

K. Disagree. I'm very familiar with guns. I have many and the sequence by Dr. Horn makes perfect sense to me. Peace.

Ok, well I never fired a gun in my life. :D So, I will just stop talking about that now.

We are actually in just a repeat of just the "Sentencing Phase" because only the sentencing phase was the part the original jury could not come to a decision on. The original GUILTY verdict still stands and that part is not being done over.

Oh, Thank God! I started reading all these posts and thought she was getting a second chance.

Just something to ponder: GRAPHIC WARNING

That scenerio was just describing if there was the 1 single shot "first" that ended up shooting him in the head, but gun jammed with casing jamming in the gun near the ejection port (has happened to me), and after she retrieved knife to finish him off, she then picks up the gun and works the action to clear the jam and the casing falls into the pool of blood. Would explain how the casing landed in pool of blood with no blood on top, and the shot still coming first.

Ive had a gun fire once and the casing never came out and jammed in ejection port.

But I agree the thought of Jodi even being able to clear a jammed gun is laughable. :)

Got it. Shot first and the casing stuck. Then she, for some odd reason, managed to clear the stuck casing and it was left behind? Oh well ... I think that's really far fetched, but who knows? :dunno:

That's the thing, it does make perfect sense. It is a perfectly sound opinion. But our bodies are capable of strange things. I think it's possible it came first. It makes more sense and in her letter when she was describing the shot coming first and then Travis holding his head and the ringing in her ears, it felt like she was describing what really happened.

I don't think she fired more than one shot, myself. I think it jammed.

MB that's what I think too. If a second shot was fired the casing is stuck inside the gun, wherever that is. JMO

It's all good. The gunshot first has always been a great debate.

But, Jodi did leave a camera in a washer, so she managed to do a half-a**ed clean-up job. She thought she took the casing, because she did not want it traced back to her grandparent's gun.

Which reminds me, was the bullet casing compared to the ammo at the grandparents, or was that stolen also?

If you look at this pic, to me it seems like the grey area is tile that has been damaged, and it is right next to casing.

Tile was not damaged. That's the look of the tile in TA house. Porcelain tile to look more expensive. Fake as. It comes that way. Don't ever, ever come to my house in Santa Fe, NM ... I have mud floors/sealed with ox blood and that would freak a Canadian out big time but then my entire house if made of mud (adobe). Hell it would freak out most my other US 49 too. lol.

Why are we going over pictures of sex/nudes, etc. (yay or nay) on 6/04/08 and gun shot first or not? Jodi was found GUILTY of 1st degree murder with pre mediation.

We are on now in, the yet again, guilt phase and her mitigation.

WHAT mitigation does she have? I come up with - ZILCH -

Agree she doesnt have any mitigation at all. All she has done this entire 2nd trial is trash Travis and his family's memory of him. She is begging for the DP with the defense she has put on.

And by dragging it out as long as the defense is doing , she is making the jury madder and madder.

If she had just lied and said she was sorry (shes not sorry) and begged for forgiveness, she would have a better chance of getting a life sentence.

I do worry there is 1 or 2 jury members that wont be able to give a death penalty sentence even though they thought they could.

The only thing I buy about Jodi's story is she rented a car, she killed TA, played kissy face with Ryan Burns and then drove home.

A paper airplane? Yes! See? Now we're gettin' somewhere!

In this reboot of her mitigation phase, the reins have been handed to the killer. She did not like what Nurmi did last time, even though she snagged 4 jurors to keep her alive.

This time, instead of admitting she was horribly wrong and begging for their mercy, she is doubling down and trashing her victim even worse than ever before. ughhhhh ....shiver....she is so stupid sometimes it is astounding.

Well, that's what the letter to the family is for.

This is from Yahoo! Answers so take it for what you think it's worth: https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20110513201454AALBBvt

...There are many versions of the 22 caliber round. Ranging from the 22short, 22LR (long rifle) to the 22magnum. The 22short & the 22LR are rather quiet compared to almost anything else. Even a lot of firecrackers seem loud in comparison....

I've heard if you want to keep a gun for protection don't use a .22. Shooting someone with a .22 is more likely to make them mad rather than kill them.

I believe Jodi's was a .22short.

The gun was a 25 cal. What was strange was Bill Arais having a 25 stolen out of his car back in the eighties? The police recovered the gun , but Bill never went and picked it up.

Okay. She did overlook the camera in the washer, the long hair she left behind, palm print. I just can't believe she would steal a gun and not use it first. Jodi is not a big girl, stabbing a naked wet man would be extremely difficult, shooting in the head would be cleaner and easier. JMO

She isn't a little girl. Jodi is taller than Juan Martinez and Jennifer Wilmont. It shows her height is between 5'4 -5'6 and her weight around 125 lbs

But overlooked/forgot the one found at the scene? Okay.

Why would she take any casing? He obviously had been shot, why take it? Doesn't make sense to me. Shot once, one casing. Only one bullet wound to body. I'm in the shot last group.
