It still amazes me how much emphasis there is on sex in this trial. Nurmi brought the trial into the gutter; the only relevance sex has is the fact that Travis was Mormon and wasn't supposed to be having any. A 30-year-old Mormon man and a woman like JA was indeed a recipe for disaster. I don't fault JA for having sex or call her derogatory names, etc., but there is some relevance in the fact that she knew that her allure was sexual and that Travis was not supposed to "go there."

"Not many guys would..." said Travis, referring to some oral sex he performed on her once. Being of a certain age (old enough to be Travis' mother), I had to smile at that one. I've heard that one before, and in this stage in my life I'd say, "How many guys wouldn't?" :floorlaugh:

So Travis was naive in some respects. His church told him one thing, but his body told him another, and of course he was playing semantics games with JA, but she knew that! She had been around the block a few times more than Travis had. I don't judge her for that, but I don't like how she took advantage of his sexual ignorance before slaughtering him.

Sex is the shiny object that is supposed to turn jurors' heads at this trial. Nurmi has no solid evidence to use, and twisted sex is his area of expertise. The most recent witness was a joke, but he can't find decent witnesses for JA because most respectable professionals are not about to hurl their careers into a fire pit for some temporary monetary gain.

Do you have any thoughts as to why some of the photos have the date stamp and some do not? The quality of some seemed so off to me. Also, in her interviews with Flores, she said that the dates could be changed and then backtracked by saying at least that is what she has heard (lots of liars use this method). She also drew for Flores the size of the memory cards and said that she had one the same size as Travis in a broken camera in her storage unit and she had some of the same pictures on her broken camera car.

I have found that liars sometimes like to give enough information for you to get to the truth. If you do not get there, then they have a special 'dupers delight'. She seemed like she was really enjoying that part of the interview.

BOYTWNMOM, I don't recall hearing if the computer experts had any record of Travis loading the CDs Arias gave him onto the computer. She claimed he was in his office alone too at one point. Do your notes reflect any trace of Travis using his computer in the afternoon? I remember the 'Harder Faster Stronger' tune in the early morning. Does anyone else remember if evidence was found about access to Travis' PC on the afternoon, before the killing. I don't. Thanks.

Maybe super-secret testimony about how she was abused as a child throwing her parents under the bus.
(Not sure but if this happened Bill Arias and Sandy Arias didn't get the same opportunity as George & Cindy Anthony - to hear the allegations in court along with video coverage in real time).

There was conflicting testimony in court as to when first vaginal intercourse took place. May 2007 and August 2007 were the dates in question.

There was an incident mentioned where Arias supposedly awoke to find Travis penetrating her and two different accounts of this same instance varied. One made it sound like rape, and the other version is blurred in my memory. I can't remember if they mutually consented and consummated the act or if Travis stopped.

I forgot about that. Just another in a long line of BS she cooked up.

I saw some pics that didn't have timestamps... they were online so you could see the whole pic, unlike what got quickly flashed during the trial. I suppose the ones online may have been tampered with too.

However, my whole point to this and query, is IF JA had put her memory card/stick in TA's new(when did he get it) camera(she had said somewhere previously that she also had an older Sony camera, iirc), with their "photo shoot" pics still on it that may or may not have had dates already stamped on them from March/April/whatever and then she started shooting shower pics(for her own photo albums) using those nifty infra red, noise reduction and 15x Zoom features, would whatever had been on her memory stick then be added to TA's camera's built in memory with the same date as the shower pics, since to the camera's built in memory they were all new, right?

No, the original pictures would retain their own time/date stamps.

The spide underwear was such a desperate ploy during the guilt phase of the trial. Now we know that JA wanted to wear it as part of a sexual fantasy costume. So many red herrings!

When it comes to Bill and Sandy Arias, though, I refuse to judge or condemn them. (Not that you suggested that.) My heart goes out to them. I cannot imagine what they must be going through. Their whole culture has changed; now they're involved with the jail/prison/convict culture and scammers who want to befriend them and offer "advice." They must be being pulled in many different directions.

Detective Melendez testified on day 5 of the guilt phase of the trial that the time stamps on the photos retrieved from the unallocated space of the camera's SD card were added in EnCase.

In JA's testimony on cross on day 25 she tries to weasel out of saying that she deleted photos, but ultimately she admits that she did delete the ones that were deleted.

If she had copied images from her camera to this memory card, the EXIF and other metadata would have made it obvious. That did not happen.

The expert witness of the last several days, Dr. F., is in fact from Cali. I'd forgotten about Aiken! Also, Juan mentioned three witnesses (one from Cali, one we now know is the convict, and the other...?) but also mentioned affadavits. Could Aiken be one who provided an affadavit--maybe the effects of what death row does to a person? It's interesting that you mentioned him.

Some interesting "new" features on it according to this review. ie. Advanced Sports Shooting, NightShot infrared system, Face Detection, 15x Zoom, In-camera retouching and a new remote control, not to mention the 100 continuous shot capability and noise reduction.
Without actually trying it though, I still don't seen any info as to date control, though I suppose the in-camera retouching may allow for that, if you had time?

At that point into the interrogation, I don't even think it was known the camera has been found. The LE did not tell anyone about that critical piece of evidence.

I like to believe Jodi knew about cameras, since she was photographer extrodinaire, and was trying to pull off the naive, sweet girl act with Flores.

Sony has their own SD cards. You cannot buy a standard SD card with a Sony camera. JMO
