I had absolutely no idea what stuff was being posted blogged about relating to this case, just went for a meander round the web and jaw on floor amazement, I am genuinely flummoxed as to why it matters so much to people who are not relatives or personal friends of the victim or defendant,
I am dedicated to this case because of long needed Justice for Travis Alexander.

Men are abuse victims as well and this case is the a great example of this closeted fact.

Genuinely flummoxed as to why what matters?

Murder and murder trials are everyone's business. Horrible violent crimes affect all society, as does the process of putting the perpetrators away.

Not sure what your post is referring to but it has been posted here a couple times that what is going on in that AZ courtroom is really no one's business but for those directly involved. I don't know if that's what you are saying but if it is, I disagree.

If it is not what you are saying, though, please forgive my misunderstanding.

my point about being flummoxed was the vitriol and anger I have read people posting about/to each other whether pro or anti Jodi, I love to debate trials, to argue about the evidence and the attorneys/judge etc but to personally attack people on the web who have an opposing view is beyond my comprehension,

There is more than likely an option to "Delete All". I had the camera but lower end - the Sony Cyber-shot, and was able to do that.

It does have this feature, and it looks like it's pretty easy to find it in the camera's menu.

JA testified about looking at the photos with TA and deleting certain photos that he didn't like. I don't remember this testimony very clearly.

We don't personally attack here on Websleuths. It's against Terms of Service.

I am not sure where you are getting this information from?

I agree with you on this. Some people are really riled up over this trial, but I think it's not unique to this one. The George Zimmerman trial was almost impossible to discuss online.

Websleuths is moderated and personal attack posts get deleted or modsnipped quickly here. Staying on topic is encouraged. It's nice. If you want to discuss this trial without all the argumentum ad hominem, you are welcome to do so here.

Thank you for responding. I had indeed misunderstood your original post. (I knew there was that possibility.)

I agree that attacking others just because their view is different is not productive and am happy that for the most part we do not do that here. Every now and then we are visited here by one of "them" (them being the ones who post only to incite or cause argument) but they are usually pretty easy to identify and the best defense for that is to IGNORE them, rather than take the bait.

Or threatening suicide like she had before...

I also believe there was an addictive component to this sick relationship for Travis (not sure about Jodi because she was just being her twisted self). I believe Travis' wounds showed up in the area of intimacy (not unusual) and he was caught in an addictive web, driven by a manipulative sociopath, of "I know this isn't good for me but I can't stop". What was it Robert Downey Jr said--"it's like I have the barrel of a gun in my mouth and I like the taste of the metal" (paraphrasing). I also believe he very likely would have dealt with and conquered this challenge in his life given the opportunity. He was seriously dedicated to personal growth and we ALL have blind spots/growth curves/rabbit holes esp those of us who've experienced early childhood trauma.

It's funny you say this because my husband met a psychologist once at his gym who was kind of eccentric and...off. Lol. He found out that it's not unusual for people get into that field of study to understand their own psychology and mental states. Not saying that's the case for your parents, lol, but I can definitely see that.

The guy who shot up the movie theater in Colorado dressed as the Joker was a student in the Psych field.

Haha it's true .. people are genuinely bat____ crazy about this case, often on both sides, and yes FB, Twitter, and various sites / blogs are all as bad as each other .. funny how high profile cases bring all the loons out, it was the same way with Scott Peterson, and Casey Anthony, and many of the loons from those cases reappeared for this one :)

She was only up for a couple days, so she's probably still on direct and Troy Hayden reported she stopped short of meeting Travis in her story. The blazer was probably a hint. The jury is probably confused as hell.

----------

@ericksonvision: It is ordered "the court grants relief by vacating the superior court’s order of 10/30/14 closing the courtroom to the public and press...

@ericksonvision: "...during any testimony by Jodi Arias"

I guessed it from the blazer! Plus she's probably pulling a Casey Anthony and throwing at least one of her parents under the bus, which is why she wanted them out of the courtroom.

There's no good reason. She's in prison so what does she have to be afraid of? It does seem she also said her family needed protection (classic Jodi, playing the family card when it suits her), which doesn't really compute.

Death threats to her=Death Penalty!!!:hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:

I am going to say this here, it is only an opinion of mine, so take it for what it is worth. Let me also say, that I come from a suspicious place because of circumstances in my own family of origin. I have wanted to write this for many days but just couldn't bring myself to. WS has always been a very safe place for me... so here goes.

While we were on break, due to the secret witness I went back and watched some original trial testimony. I skipped around quite a bit. I ended up watching Jodi's allocution. I first believed that Alyce was the secret witness but also had a niggling that it was actually Jodi... that niggling intensified after realizing a professional wouldn't need to hide, from everything AZL was saying. She also said that it wouldn't be the defendant either but I couldn't shake my suspicions.

Anyway, while I was watching the allocution a part of it really stuck out to me, the spot where Jodi seemed to get the most emotional was when talking about her baby sister Angela being born (Jodi was 11- I think) and the doctor asking HER if she wanted to hold the baby first. Something about the entire exchange stood out... much more than any other part- I went back and re-watched it again.

What if Angela is actually Jodi's and no one else (except Jodi, her parents, aunts, uncles etc) know this, but especially not Angela.

I will say again, that I have a situation like this in my own family, so I am probably way off base and wrong due to my own experiences... but what if it is something like this, or similar to this?

Please don't throw tomatoes... any thoughts fellow WSers?
It could be a possibility. One of my best friends in college in San Diego confessed to me that her "parents" were really her grandparents, and that her "sister" was her real biological mother. It happens.

she had a fair trial as far as I could see, there are issues that have now surfaced over the computers which do need investigating, but whether Travis had 🤬🤬🤬🤬 or not on his computer wouldn't have effected the conviction in my opinion,

I am not a big fan of any of the protagonists, don't think Juan is as great as many seem to do, think defence should have done what they are now doing which is argue emotional abuse (although I don't think Jodie was emotionally abused or a victim) Nurmi seems to have picked up his game, and I would be fine with LWOP as am anti DP

wonder why some cases grab people when others equally or even more heinous don't

That's an easy answer. Because Jodi requested and got interviews as SOON as she was arrested. Most murderers don't do interviews, but JA loves an audience, loves to talk and talk and talk. While she was on the stand for 18 days...I actually had to tune her out during the defense. I was like shut up, let's hear some silence...silence Jodi...Silence of the Lamb

I saw her on 48 hours Mystery 4 years ago.

"48 Hours" first introduced viewers to Jodi Arias in 2009, when she sat down to talk shortly after being arrested and charged with the murder of her ex-boyfriend, Travis Alexander. Since then, she has become a national sensation, the focus of newspaper and magazine profiles and the subject of 24-hour cable news coverage.

"48 Hours" correspondent Maureen Maher interviewed Arias at the Estrella Jail four-and-a-half years ago, when she agreed to tell CBS News her story of how Alexander had been murdered -- an interview which, for the first time in the history of "48 Hours", was used as evidence in a death penalty trial.

Delay, delay, delay. If Nurmi had had his way, there wouldn't have been any further testimony until the COA decided. And how long ago was that testimony??!! Sheesh...let's be done with her.
She wants to remain at Estrella to do Jailhouse Idol again this year, it might be her last chance!!!

I love that the COA's ruling outed Jodi for testifying in secret!

Jodi crying to Dr. MF that she didn't want to be Travis' dirty little secret . . . . guess what Jodi - you are no longer an Arizona courtroom's dirty little secret witness!

Gosh I remember a women posting abt the westerfield trial on a forum she had a billboard up that he was innocent and after his trial she sent him pictures of her children to hang in his cell. I have often wondered what happened to her and where in life she is now.. Shocked the heck out of me..
