CMJA thinks like a criminal because she is one. She assumes others invade privacy because that's her own MO. And she plays games because she enjoys them.

IMO she didn't feel fear when Flores confronted her with the photos, so it isn't likely she inadvertently let slip her understanding about how time stamps could be altered.

If you listen closely to that section of the interrogation, you'll hear her offer up quick and often lame explanations for every single piece of evidence she was confronted with. Imo the timestamp dodge was no different.

That interview is fascinating in a lot of ways to listen to her closely. It is amazing the ease in which she lies and the way she is not really worried.

I would have been balling like a baby and terrified if I had committed any type of crime, let alone accused of murder. She just brushed it off and did gymnastics. LOL

Going back to the 1000's of items, I suspect a lot of it has something to do with URL website addresses to sites and not actual photos or anything.
If a virus has a support file that it uses, then embedded in that file could be URL website addresses that are the actual links to sites. So the virus itself would have its own site addresses embedded in one of its support files.

Where viruses get real tricky and can fool some of the anti-virus softwares (until they have the signature identified that their files are virus related) is when these types of support files only have parts of the website addresses.

For example 1 support file could have the HTTP: part, the next file could have the "WWW." part, and so on and so forth. Then the virus software itself pieces together the whole URL website address using its own support files and then executes a command to bring up a browser and browse the website.

Hope, my best guess is that it has to do with standards for identifying and the parameters of EnCase. That software has basic modules that can be run, and a logical way to explain things is that where all these hits that BN came up with for were ones traditionally associated with malware. We have to wait and see what more comes out in the evidentiary hearing, but given that both Melendez for the State and Dworkin for the defense came up with the same null findings, it makes sense that an industry standard would not classify BN's findings as .

I think what they're doing is called spoliation of evidence. The prosecution's expert will know if they modify it. I can't believe they'd chance it in a capital case, but this is the Jodi Arias trial so anything could happen.

Well, in this case, it could be a form of evidence tampering, but the original evidence -- one assumes -- is still in the evidence room @ Mesa PD.

In our context, that original evidence would be TA's original HDD (now 'tainted' due to the cold boot and hard shutdown on June 19, 2009) and the bit for bit copy or image of HDD that was made before that ill-advised June 19 debacle.

Why will BN not produce the copy of the source drive which was given to the DT even though it's been court ordered and is now days overdue?

We can be sure that once produced it will not be helpful to the DT.

If JM is right, and BN-Tony-Lonnie-StealthTech have modified it and/or lied about it, JM will make hay.

Remember that Mesa PD still has the original and imaged HDDs.

They already know what what BN has provided in answer to JSKS' order is bogus.

IIRC, though the DT motion cites URL names, the hearings have redacted and JSKS has prohibited the public reading thereof.

I am unaware that BN has produced a single digital image (picture or video) to prove the existence of his allegations of copious (at least 10K if not more than 100K) " files".

It remains incumbent upon Dog-In-The-Freakishly-Enlarged-Eye Guy to prove they were all on TA's HDD before JA slaughter-butchered him, and that the State intentionally deleted them and lied about it.

I know bn said he met with dworkin over the weekend and was able to reproduce his same findings on dworkins copy. I don't doubt for a minute BN copy he turned over has virus redirects but I am highly suspect about everything single thing else.

From what I understand, Juan wants a copy of BNs 2 images he made with the State's image from the original HD.
It's confusing, because it seems like Juan is asking for something he already has. And, like BN said, it's like asking for a picture of a picture.

But what if it's BN's activity on the copies that Juan wants to look at? He wouldn't already have a copy of that.

BN stated under oath that JM is a liar. JM has officially been accused of prosecutorial misconduct.

So JM asked the DT for proof. JSKS ordered the DT to produce the precise evidence (copy of the HDD) used to accuse JM of the prosecutorial misconduct.

Instead, BN gave the State a copy of Tony's HDD.

If I understand correctly, after yet another try, the DT produced still another copy which was significantly smaller than the one originally provided to the DT by the State.

BN admitted that he had modified it (removed viruses and malware, etc.) before providing it to the State.

It is likely that at this point BN cannot produce what he was given by the State, and that is the reason for his obfuscation.

When he says that JM is asking for what he already has, that's beside the point.

JM requested the evidence the State originally provided to the DT so that it could be examined to determine whether BN and the DT are lying to the court.

They have yet to produce it.

They're stonewalling probably because they can't produce it.

If JSKS allows the DT to modify their copy of the evidence, claim it is still the same as the unmodified evidence, and then draw conclusions from it that they present to the court as fact, JM will properly object.

Will JSKS overrule or sustain?

Wouldn't it be great if Tony's hard drive copy was the one they got all the hits from?

JM isn't a computer expert, but he is meticulous, and prepares/researches thoroughly. There is no way he went into that hearing ignorant of what he was demanding be turned over.

If he isn't trying to nail BN for tampering-_- as he at first appeared to be doing, I'm confident he has another reason. He's a chess player playing a long game.....

More than likely asking the questions his OWN expert wants cleared up...before he/she takes the stand.

You're right. I'm re-reading Beth Karas' notes and the Tweets I collected from the hearing and it sounds like BN found

• site URLs had been typed into the web browser
• viruses that connect with sites
• the Zlob trojan, which BN testified that you get from visiting sites in the first place or downloading a video viewer to watch
• when JM asks BN to find the sites listed in Nurmi's motion, BN says it's taking a while for him to find those particular sites because "there's just so much on this computer"
• BN says on the stand that "if you put in the word '' there are 25,000 hits"
• The sheer number of "scrubbers" on the computer point to someone trying to cover up
• 100s of 1000s of URLs in the history

He does not say that he found any actual on the computer. No photos of breasts. No images of women nude from the waist up.

That has always been my theory about her main motive. She had to kill Travis because he was going to tell all of his Mormon friends what an evil freak she was. And she wanted to land herself a rich Mormon husband. JMO

I tend to agree. If you look at her past experience with men, it seems that she usually "traded up." At least in her own world. The trade up activities increased as she got older and more experienced. She must have thought she hit the jackpot when she reeled in Darryl Brewer originally. But then time passed and instead of DB being the older but successful image, he simply morphed into being old and no longer such a professional catch. And then by chance the whole world of the Mormon community opened up to her and she viewed it as her end game. Catching a naïve but successful man who would give her what she always wanted. I think she thought it would be Travis but that game didn't work. I think that in the end, it was that thing that SHE did that sealed TA fate. Whatever it was she did, he found out about it. That explains all those explosive interactions at the end. I suspect that she knew that if he told everyone what SHE did it would totally destroy her plan to attain the life she thought she was carefully crafting for herself. If she allowed TA to tell the truth about what SHE did, it would poison the entire Mormon pool because we all know that community is close and that secret would have spread like wildfire. She would not have been able to trick another Mormon man and her end game would die on the vine.

I think she killed him because she had tasted just enough of the "good life" (at least to her) that she simply could not tolerate going back and living the life she had been. A part time waitress living on and off with relatives with no future save for the hard luck life. No amount of easy sex would ever make up for the exposure of her actions (whatever they actually were.) She couldn't have that. No way.....

So she silenced him.

It is truly horrific in every way.
