I imagine we will see some new motions filed tomorrow from Nurmi. At least 1 asking for the DP to be removed and probably 1 trying to stop the judge from releasing the transcripts from the in chambers meetings which resulted in Jodi testifying in private. He's had 6 days to come up with a bunch of new BS.

Yes you can tell it retouched at her throat area it is blurry. They both look like they have lipstick on their
Teeth. Her face always looks so broad in pics because I think she retouches below
Her eyes and at her cheeks. I have retouched photos of my neck being older myself and loosing weight I have smoothed
out my neck area. Also the lines by my nose. My face looks so broad my daughter in law asked me
what did I do to my picture? lol. I bet she has seen herself from last trial I wouldn't be surprised if that's why she didn't want cameras. "She's so Vain" aaaand she looks so bad.

Something happened to my quote. Sorry dang tablet.

That photo gives me the creeps, since JA is manipulating poor Travis. He obviously doesn't want to look at the camera. She is almost strangling him to turn his face. And she's inserted herself into his body space. Look how microscopic that bikini is: not exactly Mormon-approved. her teeth: definitely whitened.

I agree on the body part in the background and those ghastly fingers of hers.

When was this taken?

I think that was the June 2007 trip and if that pic creeps you out... how about this one which I'm thinking(unless I have the trips mixed up) is what made TA pretend to drive away without her, just before that argument with her packback full of toiletries. He certainly isn't looking very happy imo.

The Sacred Grove is a sacred site to LDS. I imagine Travis would be extremely excited to see it.

The foundational event of the Latter Day Saint movement took place in what is commonly referred to as the Sacred Grove. This Grove is a forested area near the border of western New York near the home of Joseph Smith.
It was mid June 2007. IIRC the flight to NY was 6/18 and Jodi had seen texts in his phone and was upset. But the plane tickets were bought so she continued on with the trip. They became "unofficial" on June 29

So she "broke up" with him just after he'd taken her to NY, Niagara, Sacred Grove, Bridal Falls, etc, put her up in the Hyatt at Huntington Beach for who knows how many days to go boogie boarding and play on the beach, then taken her to Disneyland... just had to get those trips in, even if she planned to "cut him loose". This all before she even moved to Mesa... I'm sure TA was just thrilled when she packed up her stuff and moved into town.:shakehead:

Sick! She's shooting Travis in that photo....

Have you noticed he hardly ever has his arms around her, but she pastes herself onto his body and clasps him tightly.

Too bad she didn't fall into the canyon.

Was there evidence he paid for the trips? I thought she had to pay for her own share?

This photo looks suspect to me. If you enlarge you can see that her fingers look like they were drawn around with a brown color. Perhaps she was cut from one of her photos? Also, her right breast is oddly light compared to the rest of her coloring. It looks the same color as his chest. There are some photos that just not ring true to my eyes.

Is that an arm or leg over/behind the felons shoulder? It looks like someone's leg, but not one of their legs.

For me, I thought her reaction at the verdict was the one and only time I have ever seen a genuine emotion on her face. She was totally shocked not to be set free. There was still residual emotion in her first post verdict interview but after that, she was back to the automaton and calculating, narcissistic, lying self.
Guess she had convinced herself that no jury would convict her, only not because she intended suicide, more like since she couldn't prove she hadn't been there, that Travis deserved it. She's still operating in that mode.

"We're checking out of the Hyatt Regena(sic?) in Huntington Beach tomorrow. A little sad a little happy to get back to more productive activities. I had an unexpected delay in the deliverance of funds to my checking account, resulting in a significant amount of overdraft fees. Expensive. Oh well. It's money, and if one thing is certain there is a LOT of money. I thought of a cute quote or mantra today at the beach: "Money flows where Jodi goes." :) We hung out a lot w/Mark & Leslie on this trip. They are wonderful. I love them even more than before HB.
We had lunch w/them & Holly & Jacob @ Rubys. Then met up w/Holly & Jacob at the beach.
They let T-dogg & I use their boogie boards, for a long time. It was so fun. I still need to thank them for that. They were so generous.
Tomorrow we check out go to Disneyland again! :) I'm happy about that.

Jim Clemente has stated Jodi Arias is intelligent. He has compared her to Ted Bundy. BUT, who had she fooled? Her trolls. Not a hard task. I do believe she is a sociopath. Her actions go way beyond borderline. She can appreciate the seriousness of her crime. She knows right from wrong. She deserves the death penalty.

.I love Jim's take on CMJA. I've watched every Crime Time where he talks about her.

Who did she fool? Darrell, Matt...nearly everyone (including the Hughes).

Nurmi made a big deal that she left DB thereby squashing Dr D's theory, but she chose to leave all of them. The difference with Travis is that they never lived together. All the others she 'loved' and left she had been living with.

Not to stand up for her but (there it is!) back then it was common to point at someone like that in a photo. I think during the Trayvon Martin case some dude got accused of "shooting" a journalist doing that move.

Oh how I laughed.

I totally agree. I have never done anything with pictures like this. I just enlarged this picture to 400% and it is as clear as the lips on her face that she did something to this photo. You can see rings all around her mouth. What the heck? She wasn't even good at it. I am going to have to look at the other pictures.
Thanks everyone.

Sorry, it is the picture in the blue sweater.

She was probably getting rid of lines around her mouth.

I would hope, seeing as Travis' friends were journal keeping Mormons, that all his friends and associates checked their phone records and journals once they found out he was murdered to offset anything she wrote in her journal that was impossible.

True enough, however, how many people claiming to love someone for all eternity not only taunt them like this, but also go on to actually shoot the person? Especially after having heard that loved one's story about their near-death experience?

I understand. Just seems while we are waiting people are reading things in to earlier photos that even she wasn't thinking of at the time.

Yes and no. She did absolutely fool people but I think it's more whom she fooled than her prowess as a psychopath. I think it's likely that those she fooled would have a hard time believing any petite, young, relatively attractive female capable of such deviance. It can be really difficult, and for some impossible, to come to terms with someone so inhuman.

Jodi used what she could to manipulate. She would have deliberately come across as sweet, innocent, humble, pious to the Hughes...and flip into the naughty girl routine, as needed, with potential love interests. She'd be the type to offer to do your grocery shopping for a year or drive you to church in another state - not because she wanted to - but because she could appear helpful. She needed to be needed and irreplaceable. That was her way of hooking people into her reality.

What she lacks though is sophistication. Any psychopath can maintain their facade for short amounts of time. Under scrutiny though, it all begins to fall apart. There's just no better example of this than her 18 days on the stand.

As far as Travis being different...you hit the nail on the head. I've said many times one only leaves a psychopath at their own peril. Normally, the relationship pattern of a psychopath follows 'Idealize. Devalue. Discard.'. You are never luckier than when they choose to discard you. When they don't, and you get tired of being their door mat and do leave, hell itself is unleashed.

What they can no longer control, they seek to destroy.

All JMO and FWIW

No idea you were male. What draws you to this case and as a male, do you find JA attractive? Do you think her looks will play any part in her sentencing?

I don't find her especially attractive, but then again I'm closer in age to JA's witnesses than Juan's. :-) I have no doubt she could be charming, at least until you got to know her, but I've never seen such empty-looking eyes in my life. Her affect is totally creepy.

I think she pictured herself being Kamala (Famke Janssen) in the STNG "The Perfect Mate" episode - molding herself as needed for the man she wanted. It was all a fantasy world for her. Unfortunately for Travis it ended up as a tragedy.

Nothing drew me to this case other than it happened to be the one Court TV/HLN picked up on. I've always been kind of a political junkie and these trials are the same thing in a way. It's interesting to watch the personalities involved and play armchair analyst.

My husband is 45 and finds Jodi absolutely revolting. But he's also a retired psych nurse which may affect his perception. ;)
