I wouldn't bet my life savings on it either. I said it was doubtful but who knows. My post said the bet of my life savings would be against JSS giving her LWP, if it came to that, of course. Not that she wouldn't kill again. And I think the dragging across the throat maneuver that so many saw was an exaggeration. I didn't see it.

JMO.

I posted a few pictures of her throat slashing, but unfortunately, I deleted all my pictures from the trial - DARN!!

So, if someone can tell me HOW I can search for my own posts and the "approximate" date this happened, I'll try to find them and post them for you MeeBee!!

TIA! :seeya:

Thanks niner but I've seen the videos and I think the conclusion drawn is a bit of an exaggeration. It looks like she's just wiping her face or chin or something. I can see where people got the notion that's what she was doing if you're looking for things, but that's not what I see.

If Mr. Parker was her minister and she confided in him there are certain areas he may feel he has to keep confidential. That could be why he had a meeting with the judge separately. jmo

And I DON'T think he discussed things of a private nature about Travis to CMJA to begin with. Meetings with your bishop are strictly confidential. If Bishop Parker did, he overstepped his bounds, and I seriously don't see him doing that. It's "privileged" communication and CMJA doesn't have "all access" to those conversations, no matter what she claimed in court.

Bishop Parker would be in deep trouble if he disclosed any private convo's with anyone. It would totally destroy the bond of "trust" in his congregation. Some things they are required to be reported to authorities in LE, but from personal experience, if it effects the standing of a member in high regards, it's swept under the carpet.

Wishful thinking, as convicted murderers kill in prison, escape, have their sentences commuted, etc.

She will kill again.

I can't give you the date and time, but she will kill again. She may even hire it done.

She may appear to be a nice, sweet girl to some, particularly men. They fall for her type all the time. Unfortunately, by the time Travis saw who she really was, it was too late for him.

What she really is, is a narcissist who believes the world revolves around her. I'm sure she is beyond angry that she was caught and wasn't able to sway the jury in her favor. She's furious at the Alexander family, the prosecutor and everyone else who she feels was responsible for putting her in prison. She's going to look for revenge, and there are plenty of stupid people around who will gladly do her bidding.

For those of you who missed this, check out how former Governor Buddy Barbour pardoned anyone he felt like pardoning as his term came to an end. How is this even possible?! Laws like this need to be scrutinized and changed. But until that happens, murderers can be pardoned and actually set free in some states. And jodi Arias is just the type of person to wrangle special treatment.

Mississippi Governor Pardons 210, Including Murderers, Rapists

"Nearly all the orders were “full, complete and unconditional” pardons.

Barbour was already under fire for pardoning five prisoners who were assigned to cook and clean at the governor’s mansion in Jackson. Four of those men were convicted of murder, and 40-year-old David Gatlin had just been denied parole just two weeks before. In years past, the governor has explained that it is tradition to pardon prisoners assigned to the mansion.

Gatlin was sentenced to life in prison for killing his estranged wife in 1993, and shooting Randy Walker, her male friend, in the head. Walker survived, and his wife Crystal Walker told Jackson’s Clarion Ledger that they’re now both afraid for their lives."

I was wondering if he was the minister that baptized JA? And would his information have to do with where Travis was after the service which conflicts with what Jodi has testified to. That would be interesting and not privileged.

Travis baptized CMJA. If you hold the Priesthood, you can do it. Travis was a returned missionary, who had the ordained priesthood to baptize new converts.

Thanks for answering a question that I had as well. I tried to find mention of a bishop at her baptism and found none; so I wondered if one was even required. Obviously not. :seeya:

CMJA made that baptism a "sordid affair" as per her twisted mind process.:gaah: Going down "memory lane".....yuck!

CMJA claimed to have talked to the Bishop after Travis was found, I don't think it was Bishop Parker, but I may be wrong? Also she claimed she and Travis had talked to a Bishop regarding their infidelities, Travis had his Temple recommend revoked, doubt CMJA ever had one.

She goes on, sobbing: "I didn't know how his friends had found him, and what everyone was going through."

"...I didn't know what to think. It was a disaster." She hung with Bishop Layton. Nurmi asks her what happened next.

Thanks, Janx! Was just stumbling through the trial dailies on Youtube trying to find it!

There's a word left out in the quote. I think it's supposed to say that "she hung up with Bishop Layton." But hey, I'm grading essays all day and it jumped out at me! :floorlaugh:

Can someone please explain this bit of legalese? How can you order someone to submit to a voluntary interview?

Obviously it makes no sense. :)

I just moved to the Phoenix area and Googled a lottery or how to attend the trial but found nothing of use. Any locals have advice on how to attend the trial?

BBM. Not sure I've ever seen somebody be "ordered" to submit to a "voluntary" interview. :scared:
In this context, "ordered" means something more like "decided".

Vernon Parker as a minister would know his responsibilities under priest-penitent privilege and he would adhere to them. That's why it's so odd that he is being ordered not to discuss topics under seal. They must be matters which wouldn't trigger his assertion of the privilege. Due to all of the back & forth over what is to be sealed & what not, the secrets are becoming radioactive.
So far as I understand it, the priest-penitent privilege only applies to civil cases.

It applies to both--in Arizona at least.

I'm hoping to hear confirmation that Parker is a State witness. That the inmate would have the gall to drag in a Mormon bishop to testify for her or against Travis is infuriating.
