Interesting to see this part of the case unfold on WS. There aren't 2 sides here. There's just following the circus and waiting to see if a jury can decide something unanimously or if the judge will have to decide in the end. I predict it will be the judge and the sentence will be LWOP.

i hope she really is getting a sense of how hated she is!

She does. I firmly believe she is terrified of having to shuffle off to the prison in Goodyear, with nothing but a few brown paper bags and her county jailhouse slippers. I think Perryville (Lumley Unit) is the proverbial "bee in her bonnet" at this point.

But they CAN decide the penalty based only on the evidence shown in court. The crime scene photos are all they need from the State. They just need to weigh that against the mitigating factors which are silly at best. It's simple. :thinking:

If this is the judge asking this question, then here again, I think this judge is making a huge mistake here. It is not a "CASE" they are deciding. It is a penalty they are deciding.

The question needs to be re-phrased to "Can you decide the defendents penalty based only on evidence you hear in courtroom?"

If this judge asked this question, it is no wonder they are losing jurors left and right. Uggggggg
