Why is he pressing him? Surely, he won't keep this guy so what's the point?

He wants to question the guy who said "all 1st degree murders should lead to DP" because he wants to plant the idea in the other jurors' minds that this attitude is not OK. As a side effect, of course, other jurors will not want to admit having this attitude, because they will want to avoid being cross-examined. So now he won't know whom to strike...

I'm sure he wants this lady. She can't be there of course if she can't administer the death penalty. Probably plenty of other jurors who would be willing to do it.

Since it's a DP trial, don't they have to be at least willing to decide DP if the state proves that by AZ law it's the appropriate penalty and the defense does not prove that she deserves otherwise?
