I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Nurmi didn't even realize he was turning over the wrong hard drive. I think this expert was hired by Jodi and this latest stunt has been directed by his and her findings. When asked for the hard drive, Nurmi ran to this guy and was like, I need this! And the "expert" was all, ummmmmmmmm...ok, here you go. And Nurmi ran to Juan with it without making sure it was what it was supposed to be.

Really? That's VERY charitable. And doesn't excuse him even if so, imo.

@TrialDiariesJ: An emergency situation has come up so no trial until Thursday wth??? #jodiarias #3tvarias

-_-

Defense is probably in CYA strategy mode, big time.

BBM - I don't understand?

Well, that's one theory, MeeBee. Back to ineffective counsel?

Perhaps the judge has a headache and is vomiting. It would be a normal reaction from what I understand of Dr. F's testimony.

lmao .........

PS I'm still worried about ole boy (Tony).

Yep.

Nurmi has made some follies, especially when it comes to this computer stuff, but I can't see him deliberately doing something like that. It doesn't make sense that he'd be like, no mirror image? What to do? Oh, I know! We'll make a fake one! Someone get Tony on the phone!

He'd just tell them there isn't one and press on.

No, this has Jodi all over it.

I've often wondered where in her murderous road trip timeline did she dye her hair (pre Walmart, post Walmart, WaMu, Starbucks......)
IIRC, JA took a selfie with her newly dyed hair. Presumably the selfie would have a time and date stamp on it.

@monicalindstrom: Emergency has nothing to do with the trial or the jurors #JodiArias

It doesn't make sense. An Emergency?? How can anyone know it will be resolved by Thursday????? Makes no sense!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If it has nothing to do with the trial, why didn't they finish the day?

ETA: One of the parties' family member ill or hurt, perhaps?

Nurmi is the ATTORNEY. CMJA is his convicted murderer CLIENT. He's getting paid lots of money to do.his job. That includes turning over evidence. She's in isolation. She's responsible for many things, but not this one.

I skipped about 25 pages. What happened hard-drive-wise today and who is Tony?

Right, but how could anyone know it will be resolved by Thursday? Let's say someone is ill, How could anyone know that they won't be better tomorrow and continue on Wednesday?

No but wouldn't her phone? have the date and time?

I'm pretty aware of who the attorney and who the client is. I'm not excusing any of this. Nurmi should have gotten all his facts before filing this. He shouldn't have let anyone else direct his defense. But what else is new?

All I'm saying is I don't think Nurmi has done anything deliberate. Just really, really ill-conceived. He has a habit of this.

Lol. That should become this thread's password.

No, I agree. Even a sudden death in the family wouldn't move to a cremation/funeral Wednesday, would it?

It might be something they do know will be resolved by Thursday.

Yes, JM showed those selfies during rebuttal, shouldn't be hard to find for exact timestamps, as put together as she looks in them it seems (to me) her hair was very recently done, and by a professional.

Many things come to mind: problem with the building, problem in overflow room, alarm system is messed up, heating/cooling issue, etc. I'm not one to speculate ... not my 'thang.

I may be alone in this, but IMO, Dr. Fonseca is doing exactly what she has been paid to do. The DT seemed to be short on mitigators last trial. Is her testimony and interpretations a stretch? Yes. However, I think she made some valid assessments of TA and his conflict regarding his religion and sexual relationships. Her testimony showed that CMJA was like a drug to him and he was addicted to her, despite knowing she was not marriage material or the girl for him.

JM will, of course, reframe her words on cross to give the other side of the story. Are there mitigators there? I don't know. There may well be in the minds of some jurors.
