When ALV called Juan Mr. Martinez over and over again it was to be condescending.

Nah--cats merely tolerate us. Humans are doomed once cats figure out how to use a can opener.

Yep, he's going to show that she only knows what the defense wanted her to know, etc. She didn't really go beyond that, b/c that's what she was paid to do.
