Think about it, "we sleuthers" tend to pour over every single detail, who is who, what was said, context, speculate what it means and on and on. So how does an Expert Witness not pour over every single piece of evidence before sitting up there to testify. I would want to read, re-read and re-re read anything and EVERYthing, before putting myself in a position to offer expert testimony. Names, dates, relationships, family, history = I would have to Understand the whole absolute picture to the very best I could with whatever may be available, then decide if I would like to put myself forward as a defense expert. Just me, just moo.

I think there's a lot more that she hasn't seen than she has seen. The defense let her see what they wanted-poor bewildered beaten down little Jodie baby...

I think Madeleine is saying, that what Travis was saying was indeed "not nice" (completely subjective imo) but that what he was saying was in reality the truth. Sometimes, you have to dealwithpepure evil with evil. He was done with her, she wasn't getting any of his other prior attempts at letting her down gently. So he took this approach, unfortunately for Travis this is what likely was the ignition to his murder and his last few conversation with her were not so nice, they weren't intended to be. That's where the relationship had evolved to
