Thank you Zoey. The family helped him too by releasing this letter. They didn't want it released but now they have pulled put all the stops. Good for them!!

They have called her bluff at every turn. She should have taken the deal, now she will go to death row for it.

Oh I think the letter clinched that she WILL testify. She won't allow TA's family to have the last word, and she's twisted enough to see their release of the letter as just that.

Wow, really? The last word being her own lies and remorselessly brutal rehashing of their beloved brother/grandson's painful death? I can't fathom that even her sick mind interprets that as them getting the last word.

Travis' BD was July 28, 1977.

Correct, I am wondering if she dated the letter as such? IIRC, it was also the day Travis' father died. . .wow

There was never a deal for her.

During the first trial the jury wondered if telling Flores that travis was on his knees and screaming and saying he can't feel his legs were things she remembered. This jury is now probably thinking the same thing. Do they know about the fog yet?

I don't think she was offered a deal. I might be wrong though..

I am wondering at what point Geffner, ALV and Samuels grow some shame.

Maybe I missed it - but do we know if Geffner, ALV and Samuels ever saw this letter to the family from Jodi? Because I wonder too - when do you just say "no more - cannot stand up for this woman".

Lol at being spun around, choked, and body slammed. Yes those three things do appear to happen to her a lot.

I don't know why I'm just now thinking of this, but I wonder if Juan or any other investigator has ever actually asked any of these arm-twisting chokers if they ever really did that to her? I mean did someone pin a sign on her back to twist her arm, grab her wrist and choke her like the "Kick Me" signs kids had taped to their shirts in grade school?

No. The family has not disclosed it until now.
That was a smart stratigic move on the part of TA family. The first jury had enough info to give JA the death penality. They did not do it. The letter may have not made a difference. This jury has to decide if the murder was cruel. According to JA own words it was. Einstien may have sighned her own death warrant.

Maybe when the Alexanders pay Geffner, ALV, & Samuels more than they are being paid by the defense?

I think the family must have given this to Juan very recently or he would have used it before with Fonseca.

Yes, I seem to remember she did testify first that he was on his knees. It may have been when she was first questioned by Nurmi. When JM questioned her, she said he was on his bed. I found a photo of Travis' bed but am unsure how to attach it. I'll try now.

I'm trying to catch up. My son has a bed just like it and I kneeled at it and could see above the mattress. I am only 5'4". So, it can't be that. Jmo.

Offhand, does anyone remember the name of the "new guy" that Juan talked about today that Jodi had an interest in? It was much earlier today. (I never remembered hearing this "new interest's" name before and don't know how to search for it in here to find it). TIA

I wonder though.. Could it have been introduced in the first trial or was the letter allowed in now because of the different evidentiary rules?

Ps about the letter. Remember she said a ninja looked in her purse and at her registration? She tells that part the same in the letter, then adds that the ninja took some cash and.......her gas receipts.

BTW, JM only read a few pages of the letter. She must have started writing about the attack on page 11 of 20. So the 1st 10 pages were about herself, I bet, and how Travis had wronged her. From what Chris Hughes has said the remainder of the letter likely was a description of the murder.

I hope we will see the entire letter, even though I'm positive it will be literally nauseating.

Absolutely 100% agree! She will be strongly compelled to explain the letter away.

Ah, now I get it. That sounds plausible.

Lonnie or Donnie. I think Lonnie.

I said it earlier....clearly there are many who don't care as long as the $$$ are big enough.

Lonnie. Lonnie is also the fellow whose baptism her and Travis skipped to have the infamous pop rocks and tootsie pops tryst.

Maybe they had to wait for a reason to introduce it and Geffner's testimony somehow allowed Juan to get it in? I don't know how those things work. Otherwise, maybe they wanted to save this little gem till the end so as not to give the DT anything to try to justify away earlier? I dunno...just a guess.
