FWIW, there was also a split in the Andriano jury on death. One guy almost felt bad for her andwanted to spare her. Another juror brought him back to reality and said she manipulated you. He realized that was true. And gave her death.

And Wendi's acting was far better than Jodi's. Have faith.

Trust me, the DT will never get it xrayed. It would almost certainly show there is no break in that finger and they couldn't present it as an incidence of DV anymore. We may not know until autopsy.

In such circumstances it is perfectly reasonable to take the absence of proof of its occurrence as positive proof of its non-occurrence."

IMO ... no finger xray by defense = JA's finger was never broken ... 82,000 msgs exchanged but none of TA encouraging JA to move to Mesa or not return to CA = TA never wanted JA there ... etc. etc.

I think it will help when DeMarte is able to emphasize that the bad IM's etc. took place on a couple instances and it wasn't consistent throughout the relationship. As long as it took to get through all those messages it seemed like it was numerous occasions IMO.

This witness says he takes issue with belief, but he has no trouble with stating his opinion? So is he saying he does not believe there was abuse??? This witness is finished right? So we won't be hearing from him again!

I think he was parsing words because in his not so humble estimation, his "opinion" has more weight than mere belief. He's an expert after all.

I don't have to agree with everyone to like the group and to enjoy discussions here. Diversity makes us a better group, I think. I enjoy all the posts here a lot.

Her perceptions of what is happening should be considered as an alert, instead of "shoot the messenger" mentality.

Beth rarely shares opinions as she goes along in court and didn't do so whatsoever about jury questions.

I like her- a lot, my observations however in this retrial have not always aligned with hers. I appreciate her experience and insight and her expertise. No one gets it absolutely right, all the time.

Beth Karas is the most objective (intelligent/experienced) public voice that I have heard during this trial. If she opines about something that some don't agree with, or makes a mistake, they are far and few between.

Her perceptions of what is happening should be considered as an alert, instead of "shoot the messenger" mentality.

Thank you! I have huge respect for Beth Karas, and I don't care if she hangs out with Kiefer. Kiefer is a reporter who doesn't believe in DP and he may have reasons for it.

Exactly. The defense wants you to believe that just because you don't see it doesn't mean it isn't there. They want you to investigate and dig and "go behind the words" as Juan would say. But most normal experts and normal people would want corroborative proof before stating something as fact. Geffner can say all he want that there was evidence of Travis masturbating because of one questionable thing he said on a phone call, because of what Jodi said, because of what McGee said. But that's not logical. He says McGee told him Travis said he was molested so he accepted that it meant Travis must have been a pedophile. That's an illogical leap. McGee has credibility issues. Why would he expect anyone to accept his conclusion.

Remember too that JM's rebuttal witnesses haven't even been heard yet. I think considering how little they've actually heard, I liked the questions and thought they showed they weren't buying much Geffner was selling. But once people that actually knew TA and know what JA put him through get on that stand...

I remember that question, but i didnt take it to be necessarily favorable to the defense. Starting it that way seemed like a way to say " don't bother explaining that part again, just explain why this part happened..." jmo

That's exactly how I read it from the tweets. Like, why would she keep going back to someone who abuses her? If Travis had any semblance of control over her, I'd get it, but he didn't. There was no cycle of abuse. So why would she go back?

If the question about her being strong but then going back is in the same question as that one then I am torn though lol. Because that one worried me.

Yep...I can't believe this current mitigation phase is anything that was "advised" to her by her attorneys. Even the powerpoint show and complete lack of mitigation last time got her 4 votes for life and would have been better than the mess that is this redo of the trash the victim defense.
