Appeals do take a long time, Scott Peterson was sentenced to death on 2004 and his appeal was filed on 2012, 8 years later, it may be different in other jurisdictions but this is one example.

Hi, I am pretty sure it was denied. I'll have to check our parking lot..I do not want Jodi out in this life time! will be glad for DP. only because I never want her to kill another person. I'm also afraid she would. IMO.

We forget, though KN and JM may be adversaries in the courtroom, it doesn't extend outside of it. I'd make a lousy attorney... I'd hate my adversaries in and out of the courtroom! LOL!

Although Juan is opposed to a stay, I'd be surprised if he was in agreement about sealing off a witness and the DT's case. IMO, it seems like he's had it with the defense trying to manipulate public information.

Hello, everyone!

I cannot help but wonder if CMJA and her defense team are doing everything they can hoping Travis' family will just give up on all of this drama and ask Juan to offer LWOP to end all of this once and for all.

I absolutely despise CMJA as well as her two defense lawyers. They know how they are jerking the public around and seem to be proud of it.

Maybe they are. But they underestimate JM's resolve if so, not to mention the determination of TA's family to see her on death row.

The decision to retry the penalty phase was deliberated for some while. There is no going back. Months away after 6 years. That's soon. As CMJA well knows.

And IMO, what a bad idea for the defense to kick everyone out but the victim's family. With an empty courtroom, they'll be no one to focus on out there but Travis' mourning, sobbing, devastated family and their reactions. It's like placing a giant spotlight on them. Seems like a bad strategy.
