I'm increasingly sure what we will hear from CMJA. That she loved him, feels the utmost remorse she didn't insist that Travis get help, that if only she knew then what she knows now about being a victim of DV she would never have been forced into killing him.

Oh, and that it hurts her very much to know how Travis' reputation has been destroyed.

I think both Sky and Chris Hughes can stand up well to any cross examination. They loved Travis like a brother and sometimes you get frustrated with your siblings. Especially when their bad choices land a needy sociopath in your lap inadvertently. They were stuck having to deal with Jodi and I'm sure that frustration leaked out on Travis.

I do wish Juan would call them to the stand. The first thing I would ask them is what gives them the right to judge Travis on ANYTHING?

Just because they were a couple. Did they think their own relationship was so perfect that they were experts in relationships.

I dont know anything about the Mormon religion or the hughes relationship to Travis, but IMO, they needed to stay out of his personal business and keep their opinions to themselves.

They should be forced to answer questions about every which way they have had sex and let this old lady determine if it is considered deviant in her opinion.

I feel sorry for Arias, pre her being a killer. As she did seem to be stuck up there in Yreka living in her grandparent's not too glamorous home. She went about it all wrong trying to get out of there. She seems to be somewhat intelligent, she should have found skills to sustain her. But, something was wrong with her. Must have had a whole lot of anger inside or something, the way she killed, over-killed Travis.

Jodi's ultimate downfall is her enormous sense of entitlement. Whatever she wants she thinks it's owed to her. You're right she is fairly intelligent but she didn't want to work for any success in life she wanted it given to her by someone else. Ultimately she believed that Travis owed it to her to marry her and provide her with the life HE worked so hard to obtain. When he didn't and wouldn't that's when Jodi blew up like a toddler who doesn't get the candy they want. She wasn't just angry at Travis for moving on she was angry at the world for not giving her what she believed she was entitled to.

Just to clarify, that's not what I said. Sometimes you have to weigh the risk and benefit of a particular witness. Chris and Sky had a "run-in" with Nurmi in a pre-trial hearing in which he was accused of feeding the state information (IIRC, it was something like that). Who knows, maybe he'll bite the bullet and call him anyway. But I didn't see his or her name on the state witness list so I thought he wasn't going to this time again.
