Me too. I completely agree with everything you said above. I actually have a friend from high school who was friends with Travis through church. She said he was a really cool and neat guy. It's been hard on her watching his name get dragged through the mud.

Me too. I just signed up to be notified when their book "Our Friend Travis" is available for purchase. All of this testimony today will backfire on Nurmi! I can't wait for Juan to cross examine this witness!

Exactly. Being a serial "heartbreaker" in most Christian circles, even if no purity boundaries are crossed, is viewed as a fault, not a tribute. Raising expectations and then dashing them isn't something fine young men take pride in. I doubt there's a "player culture" among devout single Mormons.

You would be very very surprised. I say that as a Mormon and from personal experience about the player culture among young single Mormons. And I also say it because I have no idea if you were serious or being sarcastic. Sadly there's a common phrase called "dunk 'em, then dump 'em" referencing guys who date non-members only to baptize them and then break up because it makes them look good to convert people. (at least that's MOO)

For the sake of the family's wishes, I hope she gets the DP. But me personally, I'm ok with whatever sentence she gets and see plusses and minuses in both.
