She was young. She thought Travis or any man, could control an erection. I hope Juan gets to play her testimony from last year.

I remember how cute she was - giggle. She testified on the stand that after being married she realized that she just didn't know much about sex or have much experience with men when she was dating Travis. He was quite a bit older and she had been raised a very devout Mormon.

Listen, if a guy is an abusive jerk that women are afraid of, I doubt that they'd be so honest in criticizing his behavior. Wouldn't want to set him off after all. IMO.
Very true. Also, an abuser wouldn't be as introspective or as critical of him/herself as Travis was either. An abuser deflects blame - everything is always everyone else's fault and they're always a victim of some perceived injustice.

Sound like anyone else we know? :)

You've got to hand it to the DT, they are determined to get CMJA off the death penalty, even if it means boring the jury all to death, or us all dying of old age before the penalty phase is concluded.

Does anyone know if the oral argument that was scheduled for 8:00 a.m. tomorrow is still on?

FGS---she talks like a kindergarten teacher. So he took Jodi camping while he was also dating Lisa. Looks like Lisa was not that into him anyway. So BFD. That is what 'DATING ' is like in your 20's. You multi-task. Not that big of a deal.

I know some will throw tomatoes---but imo, her age is showing a bit. She seems kind of judgmental over normal dating stuff. JMO and I am in my 60's, so I ain't throwing stones. Just saying.....

I mean, in the beginning, the first weeks/months aren't you STILL testing the waters? Until you have that "talk" when you say, "OK I'm interested in you alone and I'm not going to see anybody else", then you really can't claim anyone is being unfaithful. I doubt he was at that level of commitment with Lisa. Or even Jodi, tbh.

No kidding...please...dating is dating, until your married anything goes, that's why its called being single and dating IMO. Also seems that Jodi only complains about cheating and someone being done wrong when its being done to her, but when she does it to others its OK.. Typical

DONE or "done for the day"?

Well, we only have tweets to go by, so I infer that we're done for the day, as is Lawrence Kirk.

I did not see any tweets which said that L. Kirk had no more questions for L.C. Miccio-Fonseca.

Hi to all the smart, sharp and funny minds here.
I'm sorry if you might have the impression that I'm taking advantage of your precious thinking without contributing.
It's hard for me to get actively involved in the discussion. First of all: it's only a short time ago I discovered this case and I am still completely speechless about the abysmal evilness JA seems to incarnate. It's beyond all I could ever have imaginated. It's totally confusing for me.
Secondly, I am in a kind of linguistic confusion as my first language is german, I'm living actually in the french part of Switzerland, I just came back from a several months trip to Patagonia and now I'm spending hours and hours reading your fascinating posts. I've been watching most of the videos of the trial but as I'm a complete layman there are things that I don't really understand and I'm also not able to remember all the details... too much for my small brain ;)
So if it's ok for you, I'd love to continue reading your brilliant comments here; it allows me to learn so much and if ever I think I have something to contribute, I'll post. Promised!

Wonder if the jury appreciates the education they are getting?

JMHO ..... I think the male jurors are hearing about a female who wanted her boyfriend to declare his undying love for her 24/7. (that wasn't about to happen). I think these male jurors know/have seen the type and have made a run for it like Bobby and Matt.

JSKS' Court Calendar currently shows nothing for the especially cruel lying torture murderess until 11/17.

I totally agree, but here is my concern. The defense is presenting selected emails from several people and trying to use that as evidence that Travis had a history of controlling others, treating women badly and a host of other bad traits. Then they toss an expert on the stand who analyses (in her own way) every word and every nuance to bend it to support the defense position. Because they think that there will be "just enough" in the handful of emails (which will feel like thousands to the jury considering how long they have been forced to hear about them) to get one or two jurors thinking that they have heard enough to believe just a wee bit of JA's accusations ultimately not voting for death. I'm afraid that the jury won't think (and I don't think JM can suggest) that he defense has had years to review all available information and create this strategy out of whole cloth.

And think about it. This was almost a decade ago. How in the world could ANYONE under the age of thirty come out looking "good" considering how kids use Twitter now. Geez, they tweet every emotion as they experience them................

I think Juan will be able to rehabilitate most of this garbage by reading other emails and by filling in timelines and facts that have been glossed over.

I don't think they will tune out JUan. LOL He will not let that happen. He will swoop in and define the timeline, how SHORT the relationship was. How long he dated Deanna. His reasons for backing off from JA. Her move away and then BACK to Mesa. Her cray cray coming out. When they get the fuller version and see the bigger picture, the DP will be back on the table, imo.

I think the jury will be thinking all of the above. How their OWN relationships would look bad if we were to read private emails. And how they fought in past relationships and how they played the field, and how they had booty calls or were booty calls until they learned better. Everyone fought on road trips and got angry over stupid stuff and hid sexual trysts and treated others poorly and cheated in one way or another. I don't think ANY of what was shown in these long boring emails rose to any level of mitigation. NONE of it justified his being slaughtered and none of it justifies her escaping the ultimate justice, jmo.

DONE or "done for the day"?

Done for the day, I think. IMO that was the worst day Nurmi has produced in this whole series of trials. If he scored one point, I didn't catch it. It was so bad, I can't even remember what yesterday was about. Sex tape maybe? With so much at stake, I would have expected better of him. His strategy of blaming Travis as an excuse for his own vicious murder was so overboard, so obvious, and so distasteful, that I imagine he has lost the jury for good.

Well, that sounds like fun. I'm always in a "linguistic confusion" as well. I'm "Portuguese/Spanish" speaker living in The Netherlands, who rants in English on websleuths lol. Everyone's nice and ignores my grammatical and spelling mistakes so don't even worry about your english!

You are correct. Travis wasn't married to anyone. No infidelity. I guess Nurmi and the Sex Expert don't like the "F" word. Fornication, that is. :moo:

IIRC...Jodi does!!

I am back! Saw the end of a Spencer and Hepburn movie, took a shower, and I suspect, I did not miss a thing. Is there court tomorrow?
