Revenge or justice? Does anyone feel guilty of their behavior

  • #121
I want justice for Caylee and I don’t feel guilt at helping to point out the flaws in the deceptions of participants when I come across them. When I discovered that the defence can sling any mud it wants, fantasy or not, prior to trial and the prosecution can’t say one word, I joined WebSleuths to do whatever I could for Caylee.

I don’t want the arrogance, sense of entitlement and psychopathy of KC to win just because her defence can takes every advantage of the law to blur the evidence prior to trial when the prosecution doesn’t have the same privilege to counteract or correct. I just think now-a-days citizen sleuthing can at least help counteract some of the damage done by that inequitable privilege. I want the truth for Caylee.

Thank you Hercule Poirot (post 119) for that beautiful PowerPoint slideshow of Caylee. I’ve certainly come to hold her in my heart.

You want to round up the homeless and throw them in Jail?

Aahh, now there is a whole other topic! Many of our elderly, homeless, our addicted, and our mentally ill (and yes, they are all indeed OURS) commit crimes just so they will be put in jail or prison so they can become elegible for health care, a place to live, food, their medications...

Hmmm.....guess I should have laid the sarcasm on a little thicker.

I always find it infuriating that people are so worried about prisoner's rights and their comfort level when there are millions of non lawbreaking people that have no health care or don't know where their next meal is coming from.

How can jail be a deterrent when for a lot of people, life on the inside is much better than life on the outside.

So I guess my point would be that there should be nationwide prison reform. I'll nominate Sheriff Joe Arpaio to head the commission! (those that know Sheriff Joe will know where I stand on the issue)

I'm with ya!

Justice will come from the courts, revenge will come later in some other form. The jail system should also have a mentor program of sorts...maybe KC could get mentored by Charles Manson...he could explain why it's best to get others to kill for you...she could give him a little show about how the world is today (lap dance and all) and they could make a new little 'family' of misunderstood inmates!! (Ok I went a little crazy there but I can't help it)

I hate, hate, hate KC and am not ashamed to admit it! She is so going down and I for one am throwing a party when she is sentenced.

haha Casey and Charlie.. thanks for the visual!

JMHO- To be FREE is to be HUMAN!
Any human being, so sick or destitute as to willingly choose the lose of their freedom (ie. HUMANITY) in exchange for some really crappy food, clothing and shelter, must already be dead (inside).

I feel guilty that I sometimes let my anger subside. Since Caylee was found, I've allowed myself time to go numb....numb to the players, the circumstances, the drama. I refused to watch the memorial because I just knew somehow it wouldn't be truly about that precious child. Lately, though, I've become more and more irritated about how slowly the wheels of justice work. No, it's more than that. I can't wait till the doors lock forever on that murderess who called herself a "mother". I know anger isn't healthy, but I will NEVER feel guilty for feeling anger over the loss of this child. It DID NOT have to be this way. The people in Caylee's life failed her miserably...and that makes me VERY ANGRY. I hope I can channel my anger to the Prosecution. They need to know how angry we all are that this child was murdered. They need to know that we ALL want justice for Caylee. Nope...no guilt.

Desperation at the most basic human level, yes. Way down on the base of Maslow's hierarchy of needs.

What about rendition?

Rendition as in handing KC over to Big Bertha in general population and letting nature take it's course?

I don't think it will happen but we can dream.....

I watch it myself every day first thing.

Reminds me of what this case is really about, and puts me in exactly the right mood to talk about the monster.

If life on the inside is ever thought to be better than freedom of living on the outside, we are doing something seriously wrong. I say throw out the TV's, radio's, commissary provisions and let's get back to basics.

Prison to me is supposed to be a great big time out. A time to reflect about the transgression, to acknowledge it was wrong and to think about why they shouldn't do it again. An apology is always good too.

If I put my kids on time out in front of cartoons they aren't going to learn much. And that is my fault.

While it's unhealthy to have pent up anger and frustration, I think since so many of us here are parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents, we probably have someone close in our lives that reminds us every day what a precious child Caylee was. All of us struggle with the stresses of having children, having our lives changed, some freedom to sacrifice (but for such a worthwhile reason) that to see someone like Casey who just disposed of that precious baby is something we can't imagine. She did not ask to be brought in this world, and every child deserves love and caring, even if it ends up not being the biological parent. What Casey did is unforgivable and while I'm not a great proponent of the death penalty, I want revenge. Her self righteous attitude, the smug demeanor, every time I see her face it's like she's giving the rest of the world the finger, like killing that little baby wasn't enough.

I have had to pull away from the case because it makes me so angry and upset. I don't think I felt this way since Polly Klaas and how that monster just continued 'murdering' that poor girl over and over in the courtroom. It's what Casey is doing, IMO.

I go from thinking, "It would be nice if someone would sneek up and shoot the b&t*h while she's walking into court" and then I think, "Nah, let her get the crap kicked out of her in prison. Maybe she'll even get stabbed or maimed." Awful, awful that I write this, but some people just shouldn't be considered in the human race.

I am comforted by the fact that others feel as I do. Whatever you call it, hate, revenge, or justice, it means you care on some level for a child that could not protect herself. A child that met a fate that is hard to understand. I hope WS's makes a difference in this case but I know it makes a difference in my world.

She'd probably enjoy it. :gift:

If Casey was truly incapable of feeling love and sympathy, I wouldn't detest her nearly as much as I do. However, the reality is that her love and sympathy for herself is unwavering, unconditional, and utterly boundless.

That makes her seem evil to me and deserving of the worst possible punishment--like being tossed into the general population for awhile, the sooner the better!

I also detest Baez and wonder if that's just because he's defending that monster (and the way he's defending her) or I hate that perpetual smirk on his face. Guess I've got some more soul searching to do!
