First of all kc will never confess because there is no reason for her to: if she confesses, she will ABSOLUTELY spend time in prison. If she keeps her mouth shut, she MAY just walk. She is counting on the "walking" part.
My first thought was to put her with another inmate that would stroke her ego and play bestest girl friend to her. Make her comfortable and tell her how great she is and how smart she is that she has been able to fool everyone. I think that you have to play to her ego and her need to be center of attention.
My next thought was if her parents would actually let her know how much they love her and will no matter what she may or may not have done. Even if they have to play the part of willing (not like they aren't already) participants and that they will move her body or whatever needs to be done.
Lastly, have the media, all media, stop publishing anything at all about her. Who is really interested in what she eats, what time she gets to spend outside, what she buys from the commissary? Remove her parents from the headlines and remove her from the headlines. Only give limited print/face time to her lawyer. Pretty basically just ignore her. Publish anything and everything about Caylee, but nothing, nothing about her mother or her grandparents. They don't exist. Nothing that they say or do is worthy of publication. I don't think that she or her parents could stand it if all publicity was pulled out from under them. Also it wouldn't hurt for all friends, relative, and acquantances to cold shoulder them all. I think that none of them would be able to keep quiet. they will do or say something/anything to get back in the spot light and just might slip up.
What would make Casey tell the truth about where Caylee's body is located? Will she ever tell?
What would make Casey tell the truth about where Caylee's body is located? Will she ever tell?
Maybe Casey doesn't believe they will convict her or that she will spend decades in prison? Is she drinking her own kool-aid?Not much that would be legal. I really don't think she will ever tell now, she's playing a game and seems to be winning, at least she thinks she is. I think the only way to get her to give it up was to go for the death penalty and even then I wouldn't be suprised if she just took her chances.
I really dislike this girl.
So, her refusal to tell is about power? Power seemed to be the big issue between KC and CA for sure. She's going to ride this thing out and not say a word. She knows she's caught, and the only power she has in her life anymore is knowing where Caylee is. She'll hold onto that information until it benefits her in some huge way to tell. And what that could be, I can't even imagine.
Is it possible she might change her mind at some point during the trial when she realizes it isn't going her way? They can plea deal or present the information in mitigation at any point up to sentencing.I agree. That is why I think that if they can keep the death penalty on the table and use it to hold over her head they should.
I hope that when this goes to trial, as she sees the evidence mount and she realizes that her incompetent lawyer is going to get her fried, she will try to bargain with the prosecution of LWOP in exchange for Caylee's body and the truth. Not that I think she can tell the truth but at least something resembling the truth.
Too bad there is not some way to apply more pressure to her but with her lawyer keeping even the family away and the police not being able to question her vigorously, it will be up to the prosecution to come at her with guns blazing at the trial.
