*REVISIT* Could We Have Gotten a Confession from Casey?

I have been searching for the myspace comment she made about having to tell someone something later when she was drunk. If someone else knows where it is could you post the link?

Anywho, I have thought since I read that, that she was possibly going to spill the beans to that person about Caylee.

Although, the thought of Casey being able to come and go as she pleases is disturbing to me (I'd prefer she were in jail), I wonder if she were free from house arrest if she could possibly do or say something to incriminate herself. Maybe if she were to be able to drink she would say something.

I know if I have had a couple of beers I can't keep my mouth shut especially about things I know normally I shouldn't reveal (like telling my dh that I really did know beforehand about the suprise birthday party he threw me, and who told me oooooh, bad idea)!!!!!

And I also believe that she would most likely frequently drive by the place that Caylee is located, just to make sure there is no action. She may even have knowledge of additional incriminating evidence that she may try to dispose of.

I believe at this point there is no way to let her out of the bail conditions until after trial and that at that point she could not be charged with murder since it is connected to the child neglect. If I am wrong please correct me.

I think LE may have been too confident in the beginning to have contemplated allowing her the freedom to let her prove her own guilt.
Does anyone else think things would have gone differently if she were not on house arrest?

I don't think she will ever talk. I also think that she has placed Caylee's body far away from the Anthony's house and isn't worried that it will be found.

I think the beans she was gonna spill was to a guy she slept with - and inform him he's Caylee's dad.

Or, that she gave her up for adoption.

I think they'd have a better chance of her outing herself if they didn't allow such long visits to the lawyer.

I don't think she would confess, but I for one wish she wouldn't have been put on house arrest. I think more would shake out that way.

I do not believe she would give more clues and I do not believe she will ever tell the truth no matter what.

I do believe if LE had not arrested her so soon, they may have gotten more clues. I also think she could have been interviewed in a more productive way. I don't think she would have ever told the truth of what happened but they may have been able to find the body had they not arrested her as soon as they did and they would have had more time to interview her.

Heck no she wouldn't help. If anything I'd be afraid that if she weren't on house arrest she'd most likely either flee or continue in her efforts to hide the truth and deter the efforts to find Caylee even further.

Actually I think we're both right! lol She told Hawkins she had something to tell him that she had already told her mom and her brother and she didnt kniw how he would react to it.

I think she told JG not to answer the phone if her mom called and that she'd tell him why later...maybe when she was drunk.

I could be wrong (and probably am) but I think thats how it went.

She isn't going to talk, because she did something to Caylee. If it had truly been an accident, she would have called 911. She would have been distraught. She wasn't the least bit upset and didn't come up with her story until after CA had tracked her down. I think if Casey had been given a few more days she would have been long gone.

For the record, the comment about, "Maybe, I'll get drunk and tell you sometime" was made to JG. It's in the documents.

Also, first the idea was that Casey would talk if she was out of jail, well she got out of jail and said NOTHING. Being free to move around as she pleases wouldn't change anything. She is very careful to keep her mouth shut. At home, in jail, walking the streets, it doesn't matter, she has her personal code of silence.

She doesn't need to. The audio tapes say it all. Just like Scott Peterson, her own voice will be her downfall.

Once again another hard question to answer.. :crazy: Casey will NEVER tell the truth in this. I think if Casey were not under house arrest that she "might" go back to where the body is, if indeed she buried it someplace or put Caylee in a lake If she put her in a dumpster, than she would have no need to check there. As far as Casey fleeing? I don't think she would have. Where would she go? She didn't have a lot of money. I personally don't think Caylee being under house arrest is hindering this case. I think the LE is doing what they need to do wether she is in jail or not..
