Revisit Photo of Caylee Crying in Red Shirt - was it the last ever taken?

I feel like i've been punched in the stomach after seeing this photo...and i keep trying to tell myself "it's just a temper tantrum it's just a temper tantrum"...but knowing what we know about this case it's easy to let my mind wander and create different scenarios..I hope to God this isn't the last photo of her, it's just heartbreaking...makes me want to go home, pick up my son and just kiss him until his cheeks are chapped...

Why take it? Caylee's hair is all sweaty and she looks as if she has been crying for a while.
Even more bewildering is why she put it on a Photobucket account????

I have the entire file of the Photobucket account saved on my computer and can't find this photo anywhere.

Okay, I have pictures of my girls crying, picking their nose, butt cracks showing, etc. It's life in pictures, nothing more. It's not the fact that she's crying that made me lose my breath, it's the fact that:
1. I've kinda got an idea what KC is really like (heart sticker).
2. That shirt is on the "shrine."
3. "They haven't even found her clothes yet."

It sucked the wind right out of me when Chez asked that question as it could very well be the last photo taken.

Thanks so much for posting this site. With the new docs last week and now watching the A's in the depo, I'mm left feeling so sad again for Caylee having in her short life witnessed this form of agressive arguing behavior and feeling so confused by the actions of her mom and grandma. I feel KC left these pics up for all to see at some point, to tell her mother, 'I'v made sure that from now to your dying day you will never forget me and my child and my role in her murder!" Leaving CA GA to live in there own form of mental imprisonate.

You're most welcome, of course. I posted it mainly because a "red shirt" pic is in there but also because there were pics in there I personally had not seen. Actually, in some of them, Caylee looked happy...and I would much rather remember her being happy.

LP's comments on NG can now be measured against the cell phone pings and in the context of other evidence observed.

The bolded calls sent and received involving "some type of service" and then the absence of calls from 11:17:43 p.m. until after midnight would have given her time to be at a hotel parking lot around 11:45 p.m. -- where employees could have seen her pacing outside her car. She may have been on another cell phone then -- the blackberry? IF Caylee was with her then, but not seen, then where was Caylee? In the hotel? With whom? Certainly not Zany the Nanny. We know Zany the Nanny did not exist.

I'm just saying "what if" here.

The dark side of soft pictures. A reputable nightclub would have thrown her to the curb with that kind of behavior. That was on the surface. What about the soldier in the hotel room? The series of "boyfriends." What was that all about? We don't know what else.

The duct tape. The chloroform in the car. Chloroform is used to knock-out. That takes it to an even darker level. Just thinking out loud. I don't "like" where this is going either, but there's a lot of money in this case somewhere. If it isn't selling her story to the media, then where is the money coming from? Professionals of that caliber and experts cost money -- a lot of money. Think in terms of hundreds of thousands! Maybe KC isn't the one who directly killed Caylee. Maybe she could still be subject to the same charges as an aider and abetter, so it wouldn't help her to tell the whole story. Could there have been someone else involved? There are hints around the edges of this case. Then there's something about the bar investigating JB and DC indicating something about a search for the body. It just feels like there's more to this story than what has been doc dumped and discussed. All the pieces don't fit quite yet. Always follow the money!

MY MISTAKE! I misread the ping history to be from June 15TH -- Sunday -- Father's Day. The ping history above is from June 16TH -- Monday -- wrong day.

I know there are a number of people who think that GA was right and saw them leave the house on Monday, June 16th, but what if he was wrong. There are people who believe that KC took Caylee after a fight on June 15th -- FATHER'S DAY -- SUNDAY and left the house. They may have gone swimming first. Maybe in the photo, Caylee's hair is damp from swimming? Just thinking out loud.

But, what we need to look at is not whether KC is a bad mother for taking a photo of a crying child, but whether there might be another reason. There is some evidence that friends of KC's that Caylee was so attached to CA and KC that nobody else could hold her as a baby and she would cry. So, what if Caylee is with a third person? She would cry. KC taking such a photo, saving it and putting the jersey on the wall is significant and relevant. Regardless of whether or not LP has overstated his thoughts as facts before and turned out to be wrong, there are people who recall the information -- coming from LP -- but also a still shot of KC pacing in a parking lot of a motel at night. So, there's a little more than just LP conjecture. There would be hotel witnesses who saw it, the still shot and the time and place to look into. Considering that there is some information that CA tried to choke KC, was threatening custody and there was a domestic disturbance that was reported by neighbors, we need to see the ping history and compare to see if KC could have been at or near a motel parking lot about 11:30 to 11:45 p.m. plus or minus a few minutes ON SUNDAY, JUNE 15th. The thinking out loud here is there might have been another perp. IF KC did not act alone, this needs to be looked into. The thinking out loud is NOT Zany, the Nanny, but another perp. There are enough smatterings of information that a reasonable person might want to do some interesting sleuthing. The ping map might add to that information.

Someone played with the contrast and found that the background of the photo shows furniture legs. Previously, the issue was whether or not the photo was taken in a car trunk. The furniture legs ruled that out.

Then, there was a leap in logic that said the photo was taken in the Anthony house.

But, there isn't enough on the photo to make that match of carpet and furniture legs. The furniture legs do look like the type of furniture found in hotel rooms. What if that photo of a damp Caylee was taken in a hotel room on the night of June 15th a little before midnight. Then, something goes wrong and the shirt ends up on a wall as part of a shrine. :waitasec: Maybe the shirt was in the car when the car was brought back in July.

I would not put it past Casey to have taken a photo of Caylee right before she murdered her. Why? Remember she was getting back at Cindy. Casey had completely disassocoiated with her child long ago. The interrogation tapes of Casey primping herself over and over again to talk with an investagator and actually laughing over the situation is even more disturbing. This is a sociopath at her best. There should be nothing less than the death penalty for Casey IMO. I just finished studying ethics and morality and how that's developed, and although most traits are genetic, a parent has to teach a child what is right or wrong. It's my opinion that neither of Casey's parents taught her right from wrong and there was never any consequences for her bad actions, ever. Again, this entire family played a role in murdering this child. The testimony from Jesse Gund considering Lee Anthony, also very telling. At first I thought it may have just been another lie by Casey, but I now think it's true and plays part of the components as to why Lee is so protective over her. You have two children here that were raised in a dsyfunctional family, both are bond to have problems.

Of note:

By my info, 6/15 is the single highest frequency of pings on the tower located SW of Anthony home @ 28.4691667 N 81.2916667 W

Pings on this tower:

6/14 = 6
6/15 = 26
6/17 = 2
6/27 = 1
7/1 = 1
7/16 = 6

I'm very curious as to why this tower receives so much activity on 6/15. This was the day of the fight @ the Anthony home. By observation, the other two towers nearest the Anthony home carry almost all of the cell traffic when Casey is known to physically be @ the home. Some FWIW thoughts:

• Same tower serves cell traffic on early morning 7/16 when Casey would be escorted by LE to Sawgrass, etc. This tower is on the logical path from the Anthony home to Sawgrass Apt. area.
• Did Casey go for a drive 6/15PM to get away from the Anthony home, and/or was she scouting this area?
• This area is of interest to LP, et.al. owing to the 6/27 ping and timing of visit to Anthony home that morning

That's so true Chezhire. Who would do that to a crying child who is reaching out and just wants to be comforted and held? My heart is breaking over this picture. How could anyone just stand there and snap a picture? That seems so cold and heartless to me.

I'll say this. IMO in a lot of photos, little Caylee just doesn't seem happy. Sometimes her smiles seemed "forced" or "hesitant" - like she was told to smile but she's not really sure it's really a "happy" moment or not. Maybe I'm just seeing things, but I don't see geniune happiness across that poor baby's face. I'm sure there were happy moments, but she seems unsure or scared in a lot of those photos. I'm sure her short little life was filled with a lot of contention and there's no doubt in my mind that she was confused and frightened. Who wouldn't be living in a household like that?

I agree, in all the photos!!!! Does anyone know who posted it here before and who posted it on Sacred Monkeys and if the police have this photo? Whoever took this photo absolutely has the heart to drug a child. I am crying. This is what should be blown up on an easel when the As get on the stand to lie for their daughter, much the way the battered, bruised huge photos of Nicole were up for the jury to see (right beside OJ) while he lied and lied and said he NEVER hit her. It is powerful!!!!

This photo has been around for quite sometime and is not a new development or anything, just want to clarify that. It has been discussed many times here, there and everywhere.
Kids cry. I have 5 of them I know LOL.
My favorite pictures are my kids screaming and crying to get out of Santa's evil clutches!

ok, I read the whole thread now. I see there is no non-LP substantiation for the motel that night thing.

I really, seriously hate these threads on the photos. Like I keep saying, and will keep saying, the horror of these is that we know what happened to caylee. if that had not happened, these are not so horrible. really.

The one of her with Lee? I have probably 100 of those of my toddler, we call it the "gimme your fun camera" face. they're fine til they want your camera! it's not horrible.

Respectfully snipped. ITA, I hate seeing Caylee cry in any picture, given her epically tragic end. But I too saw in the photo with Lee a very likely "I want the camera!" shot. My son, the little gadget guy, started throwing fits at 9 mo. old when I wouldn't let him mangle the camera. We have not only still pictures but also short vids of him kind-of-crying and grabbing at the camera. (And my voice over, 'Poor kiddo, mean Mommy won't let him have the camera'.) It's possible.

As for the Caylee crying alone shot, it's in poor taste, but likely KC or LA thought it was funny, in a cruel way. Their sense of humor in that family seems to run that way. I can't imagine a child already *that* far into a fit having their picture taken, thought. It's sad. Once, I did take a short video of my DD fussing (not crying) for a minute when she was about 9 mo. because we thought everything she did was adorable, including the way she scrunched her face up and started one of her frustration-fits when she couldn't have something she wanted. Otherwise, I can't imagine...

The reason some thought it was the last photo of Caylee was because it was one of the very last photos posted to KC's account of Caylee. A few before the "apple skull"...........Some deducted that might have been the night of the family battle at Cindy's.

KC was taped in a motel/hotel parking lot later that night. What has not been revealed is if Caylee was with her or not at that time.

I hadn't heard that KC was filmed at a hotel later that night, where did you get that, do you have the link? Is this photo one of the pics the police released in discovery, and if not how do we know what date it was posted on her photo bucket. Can someone send this to NG and have her ask LP about it tonight. I see he is back on again every night, after about a month off.

Just to recap a couple of things:

1. LP's statement about the hotel sighting appears to be from the tip that was investigated by LE about a couple who thought they saw KC walking around outside their hotel. The report of LE's interview of the couple was in a doc dump not too long ago--the doc dump that included all the mostly-crazy tips people called in. I believe the date of the alleged sighting was NOT June 15 but so far no one has found the link to that tip report.

2. No one has confirmed with a link that this photo of Caylee crying in the red shirt was ever posted on KC's photobucket. I have the whole photobucket file (downloaded from a link posted in the Photobucket thread on or about 2/9/09) and can't find it in there so far. If we could find it, we could see when it was uploaded to Photobucket.

The Photobucket link posted on the previous page is not a link to KC's photobucket--just to the account of someone who is collecting photos relating to the KC case.
