James Couey was a convicted SO who broke into the home of Jessica Lunsford while her grandparents slept nearby. He kept her in his NEXT DOOR trailer and fed her pizza, and raped her for several days before placing her in black trash bags, while telling her he was "taking her home" and then placing her in a grave ALIVE that he had obviously already dug! The buried her ALIVE after raping her over several days....and ALL OF THIS HAPPENED NEXT DOOR!!!! WHY did LE not find his finger prints??? Evidence is great when it is in.....but the lack of it rules out nothing IMHO.

I didn't follow the case bc... I was probably too young to even know about it but HOLY CRAP. I have no words except that has to be the most horrible thing I've ever heard.

I only caught the tail end of his "interview" w/Ron. When Geraldo asked Ron about "Marcus and Chad", Ron got upset and EVEN HIS MAMA, TERESA NEVES did, too, telling them to turn the cameras off right now.

Hate to say this, stepmother mM, but Chad might be the one. At least he's not dead... if that's the case.

No, I wasn't upset with you. I just am not familiar with the case and to think of that actually happening to a little girl is so sad and scares the bejeesus out of me. I promise - no hard feelings towards you. :blowkiss: I just hadn't ever heard details or anything. And yeah, it sounds like James Couey is pretty pure evil.

I am still concerned over what Chad R was wearing when he disappeared. His step-mom said he was wearing his work clothes. Our local Longhorn wears all black...black pants, black T-shirt, black shoes, and black ball cap. I hope she can let us know if that was the type of work clothes he was wearing or not.

Am I the only one on here who finds it remarkable that PCSO arrested the Loukakis SO ASAP for breaking curfew, but won't even discuss Chad as being a suspect?

I am not saying Chad had a thing in the world to do with it, but, gosh -
he lived right next to Putnam County, committed his felony here, had many relatives here, and went to high school here. And, according to the obit, he had relatives in south Putnam.

p.s. Sorry, mM, but too many people looking for Chad would not be a bad thing for either case. Also, if you don't mind, I am curious: which outcome would be most difficult for your side of the family to deal with? Neither are very good.

How can they act like it is not important to find him? Even if the Haleigh thing had never happened, LE should have been looking high and low for a predator. Even if he wasn't SO, they should have made some effort to publicize his status as a missing person.

Are they suppressing this because they don't want to tip him off and make him run or lay low? Uh, surprise - you can't find him to begin with. I don't know how much further under the radar he could possibly get.

Are they ignoring this because they have a definite suspect that is not him?

I sent this info to PCSO and to a Jax reporter almost a week ago. PCSO did not acknowledge [which I completely understand] and the journalist just gave me a patronizing "I admire your curiosity" reply [which I truly DO NOT appreciate. I wouldn't even be on here if someone had humored me, btw.]

Just frosts my butt, the whole darned thing.

Sadly, if LE has any indication it was an abduction by someone in the family...they aren't going to look for Chad. He will be listed as an absconder and until they have reliable evidence to find him...he probably won't be found by them unless he crosses their radar.

And how can they be so sure of this?? Seems odd when they've said earlier that EVERYONE is a suspect. I would think even more so if you're a sexual PREDATOR that has gone missing before the abduction and has ties to that area. Hmmm, he'd still be counted as a possibility if I was in LE. You have to look under every stone and until they can account for him and his whereabouts they can't rule him out.

I don't care.
Whether or not he is a person of interest in the Haleigh case, or any other case, he should be found; an earnest attempt should be made.

It is very DIScomforting to know that the State of Florida is not hunting him down. Why bother with the sex offender registry otherwise? Why bother with the conditions of parole?

Does a human life become less of a human life because of a crime? Who gets to decide which crimes make a life not worth protecting? [Yes, I know, not a popular point of view, but it sure seems like we have a subjective standard.]

I will not rest until at least one of them is found. And I may not drop it, then, either. Call me a naive idealist, but it's just wrong for this to be ignored.
