Tears streamed from the faces of both the victim's family and

those of the accused as a circuit judge sentenced a young man


Wednesday to seven years in prison followed by 10 years probation

for molesting an 11-year-old girl last fall.

The father of the victim said his daughter would be traumatized

for life by the actions of 20-year-old Chad Eugene Reynolds.

A man wearing a ski mask is believed to have entered the bedroom

window of an 11-year-old girl and fondled her before fleeing

through the same window of her Interlachen home Tuesday night.

The Putnam County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's

help in identifying the suspect, who has been described as a

white male between 5 feet, 10 inches and 6 feet tall with some

facial hair beneath his lower lip.

Officers appear satisfied the suspect is not a family member.

I don't know what the step means, unless it refers to a msg poster on that site known as "grandpa", but......

MARIE is Ch's g'mother. She and her husband live on Crescent Lake, just down the road from Haleigh's home. He has other relatives in Satsuma, as well.

Danyell E. Reynolds

Danyell Evette Reynolds, 21, of Lady Lake, passed away Tuesday May 27, 2008, at the Orlando Regional Medical Center in Orlando from injuries sustained in an automotive accident in Lady Lake.

She had been a resident of Lady Lake for the past year, moving from Interlachen, where she had spent most of her life, having attended local schools, and was a 2005 graduate of Interlachen High School. She had attended the former Maranatha Assembly of God in Florahome. Danyell had been working at the Longhorn Steakhouse in the Lady Lake Villages. Her family and friends were a very special part of her life. She enjoyed fishing, horseback riding, Jet-skiing, going to Silver Glen Springs and praying with her family.

Surviving are her mother and stepfather, Debora and Steven Rowan of Oklawaha; father, Stephen Reynolds of Chapel Hill, N.C.; three brothers, Chad Reynolds of Oklawaha, Caden Reynolds and Taylor Reynolds, both of Hillsboro, N.C.; one sister and brother-in-law, Nikki Reynolds and Joey Harper of Keystone Heights; companion, Bill Cotter of Lady Lake; maternal grandparents, Anna Hayes of Interlachen and George and Marie Touchton of Crescent City; paternal grandparents, Reginald and Georgiane Reynolds of Apollo Beach; great-grandmother Anna Martin of Florahome and great-grandmother Hallie Gates of Sun City; a stepbrother, Steven Rowan of Grandin; two stepsisters, Kacy Thompson of Melrose and Amanda Rowan of Palatka; a nephew, Joseph Harper of Keystone Heights; two nieces, Jasmine Harper and Justice Harper, both of Keystone Heights; and several aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.

Calling hours will be from 6-9 p.m. Friday (today) at Masters Funeral Home of Palatka. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at the funeral home with Bro. Bobby Touchton officiating. Interment will follow in the Palatka Memorial Gardens.

Flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made, in memory of Danyell Reynolds, Putnam State Bank, 350 N. State Road 19, Palatka, FL 32177.

Masters Funeral Home of Palatka is in charge of arrangements.

Or maybe he is innocent and afraid this crime would be pinned on him so he is scared.Or maybe he was a victim of crime and his car was hijacked as he is young and small and someone could overpower him. Maybe someone helped him with a boost and then kidnapped chad and used the car for a crime.

- he knew he was going to flunk his parolee drug screening that week, hid out in Ocala National Forest, making his way towards his g'parents' & other So. Putnam relatives' homes, hid in woods nearby, and planned out how to snatch HC.

I kid you not on that last one. Read this thread from the very beginning.

Look at google maps for Ocklawaha, Ocala National Forest, Crescent City, Satsuma, and Lady Lake, FL.

Crystal [sister of Ron C] lived in Lady Lake, Florida.
Danyell [sister of Chad R] also lived in Lady Lake, Florida w/her boyfriend Bill ----- before her death. He and Chad lived together at Chad's mother's home and were best friends.

Oops, one more -
Chad worked at Longhorn Steak House. Their uniforms are BLACK pants and BLACK shirts.

I anxiously await your thoughts.

LE ruled him out i believe..

Yeah. The ONLY 3 people in the entire world who LE has ruled out are 3 RSOs, one of whom has not been seen since February 1 by ANYBODY ANYWHERE.

And even if he's not related to Haleigh's case, FGS, why have a SO Registry if people can just walk away and never come back?

And why haven't I, as a resident of the county where he committed his first crime, and where he still has scads of relatives, not been warned that there is a RSP [PREDATOR, not just SO] missing?!

He is the whole reason I am even on here. Haleigh related or not, he needs to be found. Period. End of story.

I'd like to know if he has relatives, and where, and my gut feeling is saying Jacksonville.
I'm thinking the abandoned vehicle was a staged scene to make it appear CR met with fowl play.
I think he has not. I think it was a ruse, planned and encouraged by BC for CR to escape parole violations including curfew and get him out of mom's house. I'm thinking BC might have assisted in safe haven locations. If BC has relatives or friends north, CR would have passed through old stomping grounds to get there, and was possibly embrazened or adventurous enough to hang around a scope out a victim. Why get caught and spend the rest of your life in jail without a reason besides getting drunk and not being home by 10 pm...
I do think he will be caught, but what I want to know is, is he shrewd?

Thx for the compliment, but don't be impressed... I'm just a mom who is completely torqued to know that he just "vanished" and no one bothered really looking for him, nor did they bother telling me and my friends/neighbors/relatives here that he was/is missing.

Oh, and Lakeland, we must think alike. That same day, I contacted ocalacrimestoppers and reported the same thing to them. [Ocala is county seat of his county of residence.]

Gosh, I've GOT to get off of here and decompress, try to get a little sleep before my kids get up in 4 or 5 hrs.

This appears off track of Haleigh, but if he went north, and since he does know the area, I'm concerned he was riding the rails.
Do you by chance know if the vehicle that was abandoned by CR was close to any railroad tracks?

I'm pretty sure that it is near RR tracks. Go to google maps and look up Hwy 441, Marion County, FL.

Might not have a thing in the world to do w/Haleigh, but with his g'parents there in So. Putnam since 1985, I know good and well he spent time around there. SOB's g'mother ALSO owns house down the street from ME and my neighborhood full of kids on the other side of the river, in the same neighborhood w/3 RSOs. [That bubbling sound you're hearing is my blood boiling.]

I really wanted to wish for the best for Mmanley and their family, but you are right. Chad could of hid out back in the woods with his camp and gear and he did have access to a car, it all fits up so well. I had suspected Chad as well but did not want to get tunnel vision and looked at other theories. Now your words are haunting me. Poor Haleigh.

As far as what mmanley said, Bill was not from florida and had no family here. He supposedly has family and a child in another state.

My impression of Chad is he is not the camping out type. I believe he is getting help and is hidden in somebodys house. All of his photos show him being very well groomed and mmanley confirmed that as well. Remember he went to jail at a young age and was there for 7 years. He only has been out since November so to me he hasn't had a lot of life experience to learn how to "live on the street"

I really think that if chad is on the run he is getting some major help from someone well set up or connected and not in the immediate area

It's been a long 6 days since we've seen or heard from mmanley on here. I'm not quite sure what to make of that.
