Have they identified the man that was found floating in the lake yet? I was wondering if that could be Chad.

Hi, Tichad. When I clicked on the link to FirstCoastNews that was posted, I didn't see that story, possibly because I had read the story before. Seems like it was a 56 yr old white man found in the St. Johns River, wasn't it? Had been recovered in December?

I didn't know how old the floater was...guess it can't be CR then. I was hoping that was one mystery solved. That probably sounds bad, but I have little sympathy for a sexual predator.

I read that yesterday, lurkeyloo, and even commented that we needed to know who that is as there was no information other than it was a caucasian man! Now it just says the person is between 20 and 40 years old and LE is working to identify him.

Hmm... so much freaky stuff happening 'round here, I don't know what to think anymore. 2 suicide/murders via automobiles, planes falling out of the sky, Bobby Bowden's contention for Lou Paterno's record poss. lost, all these missing people and now found unidentified ones.

I hear that Maine is nice. And far, far from here.

And don't forget about the fire in Putnam County, LFlorida. Two hundred and something acres burned and the flared up hot spots were being watered again as per the update located in the right hand column of the article lurkeyloo posted above.

Yes, I saw that, too. Conditions are just right for wildfires around here right now. Lots of new growth of underbrush, several late hard freezes, no significant rain, lots of timberland. It doesn't even require intent to start a wildfire; just a hot muffler on a vehicle or a cigarette tossed out the car window.

There was one southwest of Palatka early on in the week, too, I think. I have worried myself sick that one would flare up in Satsuma. Though we don't know where Haleigh is, that would likely push the family right over the edge.

Right now, our best hope is that someone has Haleigh deep in the Ocala National Forest, alive. I wonder if the person who took her didn't take off that pink shirt especially to keep her from being easily spotted. No theory works out with a palatable outcome, I'm afraid.

they don't say what color his clothes are, but CR was wearing all black the last time he was seen, also black shoes iirc.

The man appears to be between 20 and 40 years old, and was wearing a t-shirt and jeans.

I've been virus- or whatever -free all morning, so I hesitate to click on any links. [It's probably unrelated to any links here on ws, but once you've been bitten by a snake, you tend to be startled even by the sight of a coiled rope.]
