Chad Reynolds is a suspect to me.
7 years in prison for armed burglary into a trailer, and molestion of an 11 year old girl in putnam county!
Released Nov. 08. Disappeared 2/2/09 after posting on his myspace that his mood was adventureous.
Could the manner of operation be closer!!!


On Sep. 3, 2002, Reynolds broke into a doublewide mobile home in Interlachen, which is west of Palatka. He was 19. He had a small pocketknife and it was late at night.\
He stole cash. He also used the knife to cut away a section of the shorts and underwear of an 11-year-old girl and then touched her private area, the records showed. He was sentenced to serve seven years in prison (with credit for time served in jail awaiting resolution of his case) and 10 years of special probation for sex offenders.

Chad Eugene Reynolds, 25, left his mother's home at 3 Bay Court Run in Ocklawaha on that Sunday to watch the Super Bowl at a local bar. Chad Reynolds was last seen leaving his mother's home to watch the Super Bowl at a bar.

Amy Baker CR borrowed her vehicle. Chad Reynolds reportedly called Baker and told her he was at the Wal-Mart in Summerfield and that the vehicle had broken down.
By the time Baker got there, Reynolds had gone. Baker later found her vehicle in Sumter County along U.S. 441

"Ryan" On Feb. 3, a man identified only as "Ryan" told deputies he received a call from Reynolds; however, he did not speak with him because the phone was disconnected as soon as he said hello.

Reynolds' place of employment, Longhorn Steakhouse restaurant in Sumter County, and was told by the manager that Reynolds had not reported to work for two days.

We just had a guy arrested in Pinellas County from....Pomona Park, right next to Satsuma. Gave me the chills. He was on probation for sex with 16/17 yo (he's 49 creep) and they picked him up for VOP and having sex with minors. Not sure if he would have anything to do with Hayleigh but it gave me chillls and made me think about all the SO's around poor Hayleighs town.

Strange he is not registered as a SO. But, he should be.

Thank you for posting this. I, too, wonder why he wasn't put on the sex offender registry if he had been convicted in the past. Not that the cops seem to bother keeping up with SOME RSOs.

Didn't I read somewhere that a little 8 yr old boy was taken from his home in the middle of the night down in Crystal River? He was found a mile or so away, IIRC.

Wonder what became of that case?

I remember hearing about this case too. Nothing more was ever released. I remember thinking it was odd because the boy was " taken " at a fairly early time around 9:00-10:00 pm. Also the reports said that the boy's story was inconsistent. I'm leaning towards that whole story being " made up". Who knows? Even after saying the story was inconsistent, info was released on the vehicle and the man, including his tattoos.

Wow I did not know all of this about Chad. I remember hearing an SO was missing but I got all caught up in the family drama and Misty. Pretty dang coincidental of this guy to go missing on the same day Haleigh did. I really, really hope this guy has not been overlooked because Haleigh's family is full of clowns (chose a nice word so I wouldn't get a time out).

He didn't go missing on the same day, it was a week earlier than Haleigh. Of course it doesn't necessarily rule him oout. If he's managed to hide for two months after Haleigh's been gone he might have easily spent a week hidden before Haleigh disappeared.

Hey LFlorida....just a quick 'thank you' for your research....I periodically recheck this thread, knowing you will have the most up-to-date info. on this RSO...who(m?) I worry about wandering around unchecked, Haleigh involvement or not.

Okay I dunno if this i s helpful to anyone else....but I found it revealing in that Kimbo is obviously not assisting him in any way...and approx 6 weeks post-disappearance was 'really worried'....anyway just a lil tidbit.

I'm not a usual poster here, but someone asked if CR might be wearing camo on his brother's myspace page.

I'm not sure why someone in Fl would be wearing snow camo, but it looks like CR could be in that pic. I haven't found an exact match yet, but Natural Gear Snow Camo makes a parka that looks like it could be a match. It's the closest I've found. The only other one that comes to mind is Sticks & Limbs snow camo, but that pattern has large areas of white crisscrossed by twigs n limbs.

Help me out please. Why is CR seen as an outdoor person familiar with backwoods survival? On the brother's myspace page there's a caption under a pic that reads "even city boys can build a fire."
That seems to indicate otherwise.

I remember a chair someone had constructed in the woods by Haleigh's home & made out of found wood. If this guy really does know woodsmanship, it seems credible he would be stalking the home from a wooded area. Although a chair like that could've been constructed by a transient for the same purpose.

Enlighten me if the chair was ruled out as being used to watch the trailer house. Thanks.
