The only thing it says on B's myspace is Florida. No one knows what the connections are with who at this point. As long as we are careful and post no full names and not accuse any one of being involved....I would think it's ok to look into. Sleuthing ya know.

LFlorida -- yes I did the searches but I dont see where there is a connection. The man that is missing may have the same name as somebody else but that is the only connection. There is a man down here in Polk County with the same name but it's not the man that is missing. I dont see how the John from Gainesville who is missing is connected to a man with the same name in Putnam county. I just don't see anything connecting them to say the John from Gainesville is the same John from Putnam.

"The search is going to the sky, since there's still no news regarding the whereabouts of John F. Waldo. Kristina Torres and her family are not giving up hope. They want to find their loved one John F. Waldo. The forty two year old resident of Melrose, was last seen at Calico Jack's eleven days ago."

Melrose is in Putnam Country right?

Yes, Melrose itself is considered a town in Putnam County. Some parts of the town do lie in Alachua County [Gainesville] and Clay County. Need to check map or bff to see if any parts are actually Marion County.

mmanley -- It didnt seem like Chad was real active on myspace...maybe because he hasn't been out in the computer world for very long.

he logged on almost everyday. He hadnt much experience to computers but was enjoying it.

I really think that if chad is on the run he is getting some major help from someone well set up or connected and not in the immediate area

I've been searching long enough to know that. Sorry.

Can you think of anyone he knew that might fit?

Chad ever say anything about Texas? I was hopping around on myspace and saw quite a few peeps from there......

I realize that I am connecting the dots between Waldo guy and Touchton + Sheffield, and not Ch-- and Touchton + Sheffield.

Got a little carried away in my excitement. Sorry 'bout that.

Oh snap! According to Veromi, JFW lived in Rogers, AR AND Bentonville, AR - I'm from AR and Rogers (and Bentonville) isn't very far away from where I'm from!

:eek:Im an hour from bentonville....You guys are just working your way closer to me arent you!?! lol...

I am most interested in the car and what, if anything, was found there. I know you mentioned it was still in the repair shop. I just think there had to be some clues. One of the first things that should have been checked is to see if the driver's seat fit his stature to make sure he was the last person to have driven it.

It really says alot about how serious LE take adult missing persons. His car was right in G'ville for gooness sakes...LE had to drive by it tons of times in the last 10 days.

His body sat there in that car all this time...and NO ONE noticed? No one smelled anything? Look at the pic...we are not talking the country here. I just don't buy that.

Just FYI

http://www.gainesville.com/article/20090224/ARTICLES/902241007

Body found in his car in NW Gainesville yesterday afternoon, possibly him.

Not sure what to think. "Death investigation."

Investigators said it did not appear anything was missing or disturbed at Waldo's northwest Gainesville home.

WTF????? His car is on the side of a road in a residential area and they couldn't find it?

It doesn't say how long they think he has been dead, though. It seems like one question is answered and a million more pop right up.

I started puking as soon as I saw it. Don't think I'm cut out for this stuff.

From the Independent Florida Alligator [student newspaper at UF] -

A resident at the house the car was parked in front of, located along the 1900 block of Northwest Second Avenue, called GPD after noticing the body. Forensics arrived and found the body in the back seat of a 2001 BMW 330i with the temporary Florida tag ACM9754, Kameg said.

GPD is waiting for autopsy results before determining the cause of death or providing an absolute identification of the man, although police believe it to be Waldo because the vehicle and clothing match the description of the missing man, Kameg said.

He added that the department would be conducting a death investigation and is unsure whether or not foul play was involved.

Who gets in the back seat to commit suicide or die of a heart attack, drugs, etc...?

Just pondering...could he have been drunk and crawled in the back to sleep it off? I wonder how long the car had been there. Because if it showed up in the last few days...well someone drove it....lol looking at both sides.

Yes, lots of questions to be answered.

btw - Gainesville Police Dept Chief, Sadie Darnell, is Tom Petty's first cousin. [Used to know him - yes, I'm THAT old; don't know her.]

CORRECTION - Sadie is Sheriff of Alachua County.

Hmmm.... Gainesville is home of UF, that would be near campus I think. Surveillance cameras?
