I was doing some searching last night and my computer crashed so I couldn't save the link. But found it odd that there is an add on Craigslist for CR and other SO..it was from TX or Cali.. I figured someone must know something to put up a missing SO add on Craigslist in this state.

Body found in his car in NW Gainesville yesterday afternoon, possibly him.

Not sure what to think. "Death investigation."

Investigators said it did not appear anything was missing or disturbed at Waldo's northwest Gainesville home.

Thanks for the link, LFlorida. The article says it may be Wednesday afternoon before the cause of death is known. Possibly a heart attack?

I don't really buy it either. The car was not out in the country where no one would even see it.

I seem to remember that the car had temporary tags, didn't it? I wonder what kind of neighborhood it was found in? Seems as if people would notice a vehicle parked on their street for days with a man in it. Especially in the back seat. Anyone walking by should have seen him.

Strange. Just want to add that BMW's are pretty much air tight, so maybe the smell had not been too bad outside the vehicle.

Oh my. I had seen on a news site that his body was found but no mention of back seat. To me it sounded like "death investigation" meant they were looking for natural cause of death, for if there were obvious injuries (stabbed, shot but no weapon in car indicating suicide) it should be listed as homicide or suspicious nature....BUT to find out his body was in back seat is odd! Unless he pulled over to take a nap, but you wouldn't normally park in a residential area to do that, if at all! (I see it at pull offs on turnpikes and rest areas all the time though). Now one has to wonder if someone didn't ask for a ride (and having a child tagging along makes you look innocent enough) and then drug OD him toss him in the backseat and drive to where they wanted to go. Park car, voila.

I am undecided on how long it was there. The street level view from NW 20th looked like parking on both sides of a relatively narrow street. Maybe not frequently patrolled. [Still, a BMW in that neighborhood...!]

But IF Ch-- related, what would this mean? Where from there?

Well, either this guy was visiting someone in this neighborhood and whomever that was didn't notice that he went to his car, got in the backseat and never left or his car was driven to this area on purpose. The question is did he drive himself or not.

By looking at the other vehicles parked in driveways and on the street I don't believe his car would have stood out as being at of place. If a lot of the residents were college students it would not be unusual for vehicles to be left in one place for several days at a time.
If he had a junker someone would have noticed sooner and if his car had been parked in an area that that did not normally have higher priced cars it would also have been notice sooner.

I would also wonder how much foot traffic those sidewalks actually get? If for the most part people go out and get in a car they may not have noticed a body in the backseat unlike if the car was parked where people are walking by everyday.

The fact that he was in the back seat is odd. Could he have had too much to drink and pulled over in an area that looked ok, climbed into the back seat to sleep or even decided it was to far to drive home and didn't want to check into a motel. Maybe. Be interested to see what a tox screen shows.

Tax roll indicates name is John D. and Beverly own the one on 175th.
Missing man was John F.

That's what I was thinking - that something happened and somebody else drove his car. Maybe he was hijacked. BUT if there wasn't any visible COD then I don't know.
Maybe the car was dumped after the tag numbers and car description was put out. The person got nervous and just dumped the car. Just theorizing.

I really think that if chad is on the run he is getting some major help from someone well set up or connected and not in the immediate area

Went to college at University of Florida years ago. the location of the car that was found is just 2 blocks from the football stadium and behind a frat house - and very close to a few more - in the middle of student rentals, with some long time/permanent residents scattered throughout.
mostly students though and bars, restaurants on the main street, W. University Ave.

no one would think twice about a car sitting there for a week. it's not unusual for students to park their car and leave it for days - walk across the street for class, eat at nearby restaurants and use car on the weekends. the students these days have expensive cars and to have a temp tag is no big deal. especially for students who come from all over and may have just bought a car to come to school.

my point - the fact that the car sat there for a week without notice doesn't seem improbable in that area.
as to any connection to CR - not impossible but probably unlikely.

And the windows are tinted. If he was laying in the backseat you wouldn't even be able to see him from outside the car, esp with the tinted windows.

But it says pls post for TX, so I don't know where google is pulling those 2 cities from.
