A man walking his dog in Asspinwall PA found a taxidermed Rhino head on the sidewalk.

The police now have the job to find out who owns the approximately 50 year old head which weighs nearly 100 pounds.

The Daily Voice has the story. I'm unable to link so if anyone is so inclined?

Yep, a camera caught a guy wheeling it on a Dolly and leaving it there. What?

In your neighborhood, surely!

Wonder if this was part of inherited household -- that wasn't wanted?

I guess if it's been in a family that long, you could sell it on eBay or Craig's List?

Well, lookee here, a collector seems to be going out of business:

Lots of "faux" on eBay. Was it hanging in The Elephant Bar?

Maybe Philly is jealous of Austin TX being known as Weird & is trying to catch up?

someone stole it and then didn't know how to get rid of it?
someone planting something for marketing purposes? (new movie/museum etc.)

People are morons. The rhino probably said "I'll pull your wall down if you try to hang me."

When i read this headline my first thought was someone had decapitated a rhino on the street...

Indeed I can see where you thought that. However it would have to say Philadelphia, PA . Not sure where Asspinwall is.

O/T, but involves a dolly. I shared in another thread.

My friend gets woke in the middle of the night by a weird noise. She sleeps through the gunshots and screaming matches between the meth addicts. This is a new noise.

Peeps out the window. Chowder head addicts pushing a stolen Church Organ. The big old pipe kind. Trying to steer the Dolly to make a turn. Ya can't make it up.

Rhino head or Church organ? Folks will steal anything.

And in each case -- where did the thieves think they'd find a cash buyer???
