Why is a 59 year old man in a nursing home?

It said retirement home... My grandfather lives in an appartment at one- it's not assisted like a nursing home would be. Just a complex for people over 55.

He's not in NamUs, and a Google search turns up nothing at all. I'm thinking he was found?
